Ah good to know. I suspected the £55 prices from before were just placeholders. I imagine we'll get those around £39.99 (save £5!) at launch or soon after.

You really think the console is going to come before the release date? I think you are being naive to think Sony wont be forcing them to ensure release date deliveries

Yeah I doubt it for the console itself, especially as they gave me free courier delivery so they can guarantee it for the release day itself as opposed to the Royal Mail lottery. They're superb when it comes to games and I live in hope

I'm still wondering what it's all going to be like at launch. PSN is inevitably going to crumble under the pressure of all these new consoles being registered, updated etc. The system OS is going to have bugs, the games will probably crash and lag.

I'm still wondering what it's all going to be like at launch. PSN is inevitably going to crumble under the pressure of all these new consoles being registered, updated etc. The system OS is going to have bugs, the games will probably crash and lag.

Just spoke to Amazon about another issue and thought I'd throw in the question about this promotion too 
(silly mobile net also dc'd my chat session, so got an email concerning it as well xD)
Both have said that I get free postage as that is the promotion they are doing even though I did not get an email about it that concerns that particular order. Cost will be removed before release, basically what the email said.
About getting release day, one said he cannot comment because they don't know what they're getting yet and the other said I will get it day of release.
One also said I can keep applying gift balances to my order and the other said I can't so it's a wonderful world of confusion haha
To be honest I will just sit and wait as said earlier till a release date is announced and shops have confirmed the incoming stock, there's really nothing I can do so why worry xD. Pre-order now sitting at £226 left to pay though so that makes me happier!

My order was placed 22 Jun and delivery was initially stated as "First Class".

I pre-ordered mine from shopto on 30th May with their free next day DPD.
Current rumour on Neogaf is we could be seeing this thing on October 21st,
