I work for a confectionary company and trust me, I've developed loads of 'weird' products but marketing and sales team (at least in the UK) are about as adventurous as a Koala Bear. Nothing to do with regulation as ultimately, it's all about licencing and flavouring.

Japan and the far east are open to a wider taste pallet, especially when it comes to food and fruits that's looked at beyond nutrition, Goji berry chewey candy, contains a minor percentage of goji berry juice but people lap it up as it's sweet, it's viewed as healthy as it's got Goji vs horrible sugar only candies.

That said, Pepsi flavoured crisp is weird - says the guy who ate a ham cooked in coke.

I would buy some of those Japanese kit kats to give them a try. But the prices getting them off ebay are just stupidly high. And those pepsi flavoured cheetos? Forget it! $50 for one bag? **** you ebay!

Must be some wierd flavours of kitkats over the years :(

200 different flavours of kitkats.. since 2000 in this country we probably had 2 lol.....

The big thing with KitKats over there is that the name happens to be an an abbreviation of "Kittu Katsu" which means "Surely Win" or loosely means "Good Luck".

This has made them a popular gift for people about to take exams or go for job interviews etc.

You can get Wasabi crisps in, I think, Marks & Spencer.

They were "OK" when I had them... not quite nose-disintegrating enough for me. :D

Go to your local Orient store, look for Calebee branded Wasabi crisp, nomnomnom with the nose chocking effect if you gobble too fast.

Wasabi Peas is still better than crisp though.
