November 15th US release date. Is Sony making a big mistake there? I can't check right now but I'm pretty sure CoD Ghosts and BF4 are released way before then, so surely it would have made more sense to release the console a few days earlier then those? Who's going to wait an extra two weeks for the console if they really want those games on release? Going by the obsessive nature of most CoD gamers, not a lot I imagine...

They just must not be able to launch that early, That's what all the if you own the ps3 version of COD you can buy a discounted ps4 version later on thing was about. All stats etc are carried over. (Few of the big hitters are allowing this) I agree with you and I'd imagine Sony would also, but it must just be sooner that they can possibly release.

The launch seems over saturated with FPS.

COD, Killzone and Battlefield 4. I think Sony making Killzone release between these juggernauts is a mistake. I like the look of Killzone but was never taken by Killzone 2, may be this one will play better, but for FPS I've always thought 60fps is very important.

Not sure if Guerrilla Games make other game types than FPS, but maybe another racer like a Motorstorm or a Wipeout would have faired better. Or if Killzone released early with the PS4 in late October it would have tempted others to grab it.

Think it would be worth importing a ps4 seeing sd north America get it earlier

If getting it a couple of weeks early is worth an entire year's warranty to you, sure.

It was dreadful and just confirmed my suspicions that neither console is worth buying for a long time. They missed a trick here they should have made ps3 games work on ps4 as it stands whats the point you'll just be playing ps3 games on a ps4 at the cost of £350.

Oh look, anti-console nonsense from C64, imagine my surprise.

I can't see it being an issue, and the people who can't wait will just end up getting those games on the current gen and then switch to the next-gen ones when they're ready. I imagine if they could launch earlier, they would, but the two week gap will give them additional time to get stock into place for Europe as well as have their resources focused more on solving any problems that crop up during/after the NA launch.

Jesus what is with the whining about the release date ? "I'm disappointing by it" etc. There really is no pleasing some people. There has not been a new console for 7 years ! and now you are moaning because you have to wait another 3months ?!

I might not get this on release since the only game that I want that comes out with it is Watch Dogs and i'll probably get that on PC.

Might wait until the MGS games get released.
