What did you think of conviction then? I really liked it more so than the earlier games. Yes i could be sneaky and stuff but i could also be more deadly and the mechanics were actually pretty fun.

Pure stealth has always annoyed me i enjoy mixing it up though, the Insta-fail gameplay of the other games was annoying, making you replay to learn the level rather than testing skill, and sometimes it was just impossible to see coming the first time.

Started my download as I set off to work, maybe get a chance to play tonight if her indoors is in a good mood.

Conviction was a great SC game Ironside elavated it above where it belonged but overall with all the DLC maps its one of the better SC games IMO.

If it's an Nvidia code, you need to go to Nvidia to redeem that code first.


I'm getting a paltry 280-359kb/s out of a 2MB connection, been downloading since 8.am and I'm only at 43%, only another 11 hours to go at this rate. :(
 
Well the game won't launch, just says Thanks for playing SCBL - Steam when you try to launch it, **** uplay and ubisoft, steaming piles of unnecessary **** in my way to play a game.
 
Can anyone who's played the game answer a couple quick questions (can't find them in the thread):

1. Does mouse/keyboard control work well? I've heard a smattering of complaints that it's perhaps not so good.
2. Is the single player and/or multiplayer locked to 30fps? I heard that multiplayer in Conviction was locked to 30fps and this is a full-price dealbreaker for me.
3. I've watched a few levels worth of play through, but I don't want to watch any more and spoil it. The level design looks like it's fairly open with lots of room for exploration and creativity; is that so?
 
Taking me longer to install it than it did download it, when will Ubisoft follow suit with EA & Valve and have it install while it downloads? :(

I don't mind using Uplay, I quite like it bar the friend system and installers, the client is very pretty.
 
While I was waiting for Blacklist to show up I thought I would play Conviction again. After the first few minutes I realised I'd never played it in the first place! I'm still castigating myself for letting 'real life'the way of my gaming.

I think I will work my way through Conviction first and by the time I've finished the 'bulk' of patches should have been released.

1. Launch Tom Clancys Splinter Cell Blacklist and log in to your Uplay account.
2. Complete the first mission to access Paladin, Fourth Echelons flying headquarters.
3. Press Esc in the Paladin to access the Pause menu.
4. On the Pause menu, select Extras and then Redeem Code.
5.Enter your 19-character code at the prompt.

Nice. :D

Anyone else having issues with Mercs vs. Spies? Everytime I try and play it the game starts but all my controls stop working any then it freezes.
