TO be fair, it was the last Cloony outing that did some horrendous damage.
Which as you said before they should have left it longer before rebooting, truth is it's shown people only really remember the last film, no matter how long ago it was.

Gotta agree with you there.

All 3 were awful imo and Bale was a terrible Batman, I didn't even think Ledger was very good tbh but he did at detract from the long drawn out boredom that was the rest of the film.

I am glad someone else has finally said, I felt like if I said that I didn't enjoy Bale as Batman I'd end up with pitchfork waving fanbois with a broner.

Of the last Batman trilogy the first one was good and the second two disappeared up their own capes with smugness. Bale made an awful teeny tiny weedy Batman. He is barely 6foot tall for christ sake. His "Batman voice" made me cringe every time I heard it.

I will go so far as to say Man Of Steel was better than any of the recent Batman movies. Ignoring the overdone destruction of the city and a couple of plot holes it is pretty much what Superman should have been like from day 1.

Affleck while surprising I think is an excellent choice - at least he is 6foot 2 and has time to bulk up. Josh Brolin maybe would have been better face wise but he is even shorter than Bale.

This doesn't make sense to me as i've never been into comics and so don't know the 'true' batman. How the hell can a normal guy who knows martial arts and has some gadgets compare to superman. Somebody with super human powers? Can anybody enlighten me?

Batman times his attack on superman, he waits till he's at his weakest from a set of other things that leave him vulnerable, and like I said, he really sets him up to the point where he does have his hand around his throat and is choking him ( usual help with green glowing rockery of course), but it's all timed etc.
Theirs a good sound clip Ill have to find in where Bats actually has a large folder in how to defeat all the other heros in the Justice league.....even how to defeat himself and what can be used against him, in the case any of them went off the rails.
 
Was that rumour of Bale being offered a squillion dollars to come back ever confirmed as true? if it is then props to him for sticking to his guns and not returning, i'd have snapped their hands off like a fat kid in a cake shop!
 
A few years ago I would have ****** myself laughing at the prospect of Affleck being Batman, now I just react with a big 'Errr...' Apparently he's come a long way in recent years, but still... The Affleck. :confused:

Then again the whole Batman vs Superman (friends forever) thing does sound very contrived to me.

Are you seriously saying Batman, who for the best will in the world, is just a man in a rubber suit, could defeat a man that can travel as fast as The Flash with almost unlimited strength / massively more than any human.

Even with Kryptonite, Supes could smash Batman at 600mph and its game over. Failing that fly above him and pew pew with the laser vision.

He only got close to killing Supes in the animated movies because he'd been nuked, robbed of most of his strength and Supes wouldn't break his moral code of killing.

Yup, superman could have still easily destroyed bats in that animated film if it weren't for his "code" and just doing the usual in cartoons etc. i.e. long drawn out fight using all powers.

So many ways he could have ended Bruce/Batman as mentioned, although it all depends on what the writers decide to do with kryptonite i.e. where it makes Superman completely weak to the point where he trips over himself i.e. like in smallville or just a small effect making him a bit more vulnerable, weaker etc. like in superman returns and even still Superman would be able to see/know if Batman/Bruce had any on him from miles away with his super vision, xray etc. and then just fire his laser/heat vision at him.

It would've been interesting to see how his role would've been received had he not died.

IMO Jack Nicholson was far better as The Joker. Nicholson was genuinely scary, even when he wasn't being violent. Hedger wasn't scary at all.

I remember that, I think it's from the JL cartoons, there's even an entry of the possibility of wonder woman is the only women superman can get jiggy with him and bearing his children. And what would that mean to the rest of the world
