I'm looking for options on a new home for my WC setup and as you can imagine, 80mm thick 360/240 Monsta rads have special needs.

I'm currently using a heavily modded Corsair 500R and it's cool and all, but I'd like to see if you guys can suggest anything that can:

A: Fully contain the beasts. Space for push/pull would be nice, but not essential.
B: Maintain the internal looks or improve upon them (I don't mind a little cutting or making my own side window etc)
C: Isn't a Switch 810 or 900D
D: Isn't silly expensive (900D, TJ07) and isn't too massive

If you have case in mind that would be ripe for modding to these requirements, that's cool too.

I know, I don't ask for much. Have at it :)

Current rig: (a few more pics dotted about in my build log sig link if you need them)

Not seen ya build log looks impressive, how does the new phanteks case match up? It's a water build friendly case with specific reservoir and pump mounts I have not seen what radiators fit but the case does look very nice indeed :)

I'd have thought that would come under the 'too massive' condition.

The Phanteks is a little smaller.. Semi "too massive" quasi-huge.
You still going to try to keep your humungoid steroid enhanced rads on the inside when possible, because I'd be interested to see if there are cases that would actually look cooler with the rads on the outside, kinda techno/steampunk looking

I don't think it's too massive, unless I've grossly miscalculated and it's approaching the 900D, but I do feel like I'm the only person on the forum that doesn't like the Enthoo.
The outside is nice, but despite the interior being pretty good for WC it somehow feels claustrophobic and too closed off. Bit pricey for me too tbh :o

I do realise that I'm probably asking for the near impossible here...

Hakanese, you know I like to get my rads out for the lads :D I'd be well up for something along those lines despite saying I wanted it all inside the case.

Agree with you on how it does look cramped :(

Not at all mate. I have been perving over those 540's of late, I'll admit. I don't think the rads'll go though...

That's a pity, really like the look of these - I must resist :D

Nope, can't say I'm a big fan of it either. I think I've said before that to me it's like another Switch 810. Probably very good for the money, but I don't like the look of it.

Smaller than apartment block size 900d :D

What's your suggestion mr quick to put down lol

I'm a problem finder, not a problem solver!
Besides, you don't need to have a good idea to point out a bad one :)
There have been very few cases that I've owned that I've really liked.
Haf 932 is probably one of my favourites and that's not really suitable for this. (I've also owned the CM 690 II, Silverstone TJ11 and Corsair 540 AIR. The 540 is easily the best of them and the only one out of the 3 I'd likely recommend, but not in this scenario or any other watercooling scenario really).

I'd love to suggest the 800D to you but it's £80 out of budget.
I understand you're gonna have to live with the case, but I can't help but envision Uncle Petey as a Mad Scientist surrounded by Tesla coils :)

Hang on just found a big ole case with kinda reasonable looks: Antec Titan 650

Haha, not quite. I just like to make things 'my own'. Just getting a case and bunging stuff into it is waaay too boring :D
Same story with the gpu air cooling. Could've just got an Accelero, but where's the fun in that?

Don't think the rads'll go in the 800D either, but I could be wrong. Besides, the 800D's done to death and I don't think it offers enough hack n slash opportunities for my tastes ;)

Ed: Checked out the Antec 650 and it's a no-no I'm afraid. Interior is foul and it doesn't look like there's any cable management and then there's the top mounted psu. Appreciate it though mate :)

You're a braver man than me to be able to cut up a case, I'll stop at taking a hammer and a block of wood to a cpu, but me and power tools is just an accident waiting to happen :)
I had a look at the Haf 932, it does have some promise for 1 rad, but I'm at a loss at how Petey would fit all his rads on it.

Well, I've only cut up two cases so far. A shinobi and the 500R. I got the 500R for £50 on B-Grade so I didn't really care and it had to be done anyway. No power tools used apart from a drill. All the cutting was done by hand with a nibbler.

If the switch 810 had either a mesh or metal front panel, I'd probably go with that. Since it's plastic, cutting it up ain't gonna fly...

Just had this crazy idea about hanging a rad from the outside of a side panel, would that require a specific type of panel? I'm thinking Do that and make a window to look into the cpu next to it, if you do then we're suddenly looking at a lot more possible chassis that can be used.
