@ allnamestaken, how about trying some silica in the centre of your mesh wick? kind of like a hybrid wick of silica and mesh lol.
I honestly don't know if this is a good or bad idea as i have never tried it lol

I have - pain in the arse! Better off choosing one or t'other (imo) as the fiddle factor is very high. I found the SS wick retained heat dried the silica out far quicker than it could wick the liquid - you got more dry hits and the better flavour silica gives was tainted by the SS.
I've almost stopped using my AGA-T2, in favour of the Nautilus, since this wick (8 weeks old) and coil (5 days old) doesn't seem to like each other and I can't lose a hotspot - it's either the top coil & dog leg or the bottom coil. I'll recoil with a 2x 3mm Silica wick and see how that goes.

The KFL is good but not 5 times as good as the ProTank, maybe three times as good :D but I never liked the ProTank. I don't like its airy draw. The KFL can be a right pain if not coiled right, as it can give very muted favour. I'm happy with the KFL but all depends on your budget. It's a bit like a Vamo isn't 5 times as good as ProVari. The Vamo will last a few months but the ProVari is like a tank. You are paying for quality and aesthetics plus it doesn't leak.

I just went and got some 100% cotton balls, it contains about 100 balls and I use less than quarter of a ball. So that's good for 400 rewicks.

Can I pinch your link to the tutorial you used (again)?
I'll see if cotton can be used in the Nautilus.

I built my KFL on my own experience, but its very similar to this

Not sure how well it would work in a Nautilus, as you need to feed it down the juice channels.

Cheers for that, looks like I'll be ordering some 28g Kanthal, as I'm seriously considering microcoiling the AGA-T2 with mesh & cotton and microcoiling the Nautilus with just cotton ;)
Let you know how it goes!

Top of the morning to you.

Im a smoker of over 20 years and am now desperate to ditch the fags. I have tried 2 or 3 different e-cigs and have been put off them fairly quickly. There is a horrible gas like after taste with the ones i have tried and i am researching better alternatives. I am looking for something that is fairly simple to maintain and something that will provide the nicotine with a taste that is palatable.

Could someone be so kind to point me in the direction of some options, cheers.

Hi, I'd recommend the following kit to start with: www.vapeland.co.uk/vision-v3-ego-silver-kit---900mah-218-p.asp
It has a couple of batteries, so one can be charging whilst the other is in use and a couple of tanks for ejuice.
You'll want to try some different flavours and strengths of juice (you'll probably want to try a reasonably high nicotine content, 18mg or 24mg to start), but don't expect to find a taste the same as your cigarettes - tobacco isn't very well recreated without paying over the odds for something like El Toros Cigarillos. Many try buying a similar tobacco flavour but quickly move on to fruit, custard or other types of flavours, finding the taste is more palatable.

Www.joosejuice.co.uk is reasonable for samples at £1.49 per 10ml and 90p postage. He also offers BOGOF on 30ml bottles (£7.25 for 60ml), when you decide what you want to buy in larger amounts

Get over to www.ukvapers.org where there's plenty of advice and knowledgeable folk who can answer any queries you have; how to best maintain your kit, improve on what you have, what to buy when you're ready to move up and vendors who offer deals and discounts on various gear.

Take it easy and do your research - it's a daunting field with lots of jargon, but it's quickly picked up and you'll soon find yourself helping others who want to make the switch.

Any questions, just give us a shout and we'll try to help.

Good luck and happy Vaping! :)

I'm always weary of buying replica battery mods. These 18350s can pack a punch and I'm not taking any chances.

As mentioned in a previous post there is a lot of Jargon, am very very new to all this too (the same eCig pack as recommended by RedMogg) is in the post!

The following has helped me understand a lot, hope it helps!

Anyone had any experience of taking your kits/liquids abroad?

All will be in suitcase.

No problems, just make sure batteries are removed out of mods and in an appropriate case, liquids secure and labelled and that you take enough consumables (juice, wick, wire) to last as long as you're gone. You can take kit on board with you, but I'd limit it to an Ego device and small clearomiser, making sure your eliquid is labelled and under 100ml (which is obviously a lot of juice), in a clear bottle.
I wouldn't want to risk the panic a larger mod may cause - particularly anything with a VV screen or anything looking like a remote detonator (SVD, Vamo, Provari, Innokin 134!)

So finally got my 30ml of GVC from pink mule, driver came at 7am in the morning and almost broke the door down with his knocking lol...i wasnt pleased and told him that we have a doorbell that he could have used instead of trying to batter my door down. Thankfully he came early as it needed to be signed for and if he had come after 10am i wouldnt have been home.

Anyhow going to let it steep for a few weeks, ive got a tank full of GVC from my previous purchase so that should keep me going for a few weeks as i tend to change between my 3 juices a day or usually ill vape one then vape another juice the next day.

Now just waiting on slowtech to get my 2 spare protanks then im set.

Just had my fasttech order come and the LIQUA flavours are really nice :)
Just trying to work out this 1100mah ego twist battery as I don't see a setting mark.

I see 3.2 then 4.8 then 4.0 is it the small dot at the end that you set it to?
Going to order loads more now :) bye bye UK rip off places ;)

Take my eGo stuff on plenty of flights, even forgot I had one in my pocket, placed it on the tray with phone/wallet etc. Not a single eyebrow was batted

I carried a Vamo, 4 batteries, 2 Novas with liquid in them, and 50 ml of juice, (and wick and wire) all on board with me. Liquids in the plastic bags as usual, Vamo went right on top of the tray to make it clear I wasn't hiding it. Never even got asked.

Question is can you vape on the flight, im off to Canada in a few weeks myself so wanted to know if its safe to vape??. Probably not as they will think its smoking when really it isnt...time to stock up on some nicotine gum i guess :/

Whether its safe or not is a totally different debate and hard to argue at the moment (although I think it's much safer than tobacco) . . . But the thing I do know is that the actual vape cloud can set off smoke alarms, I tried it at home and blew out a vape cloud over it and off it went :D

If you obviously don't blow out a cloud on the smoke alarm directly you could get away with it *maybe* in the toilets but I would not swear to it.

I use a Nemesis mech mod and genesis atomizers so I do kick out a big cloud. :p

;)
