Best Movie Games

Really? Because I thought it was a pony version of Mafia to be honest! I'm going to go with Die Hard Trilogy on the Playstation. :D

Did you even play it? Mafia is shallow, short and has next to no sandbox elements, it's basically an on rails shooter. Godfather has class, strong story and some of the best sandbox gameplay out.

Golden Eye

also one of the earlier alines games was pretty good where you played a marine, I remember it was very atmospheric and they gor all the sounds bang on right down to the scanner that hudson carried around in the film

Riddick - probably the most under-rated FPS there is - get the latest one and get a 'free' remake of Escape from Butchers Bay (which is the best one)

Batman - one of my most favourite recent games and dirt cheap too!

Bladerunner - great atmosphere and a great adventure game - really enjoyed it

Robocop on the arcade was great fun

Do games that were made films count? Honourable mentions to Double Dragon, Streetfighter and Mortal Kombat if that's the case.

Of course I played it! The cars handle like shopping carts, the business management stuff is utterly shallow and the gunplay and action wasn't a patch on Mafia. Neither was the voice acting or cutscenes. It was no better than that horrific Scarface game that came out, let alone one of the very best games ever. :p

Prince of Persia.

Yes i know the game was before teh film but it still counts

In that case, there is an awful Far Cry film that came out after the first game, so that makes Far Cry 3 an amazing movie game. :p

There are a ton of great games that spawned horrific movies. (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Alone in the Dark, Hitman etc)

The racket and shop system still has more depth than the entirety of both Mafia games (not that they aren't good, because I love them too) but Godfather has some deep mechanics for a GTA clone, more than any other except Saint's Row, and I love it for that. The second one though? Not so much.
