**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Aye, I'll just download it overnight and I'll play something like Dead Rising or Watch Dogs instead. I actually have no idea what I'll play when I first get the console. I do know that the first evening I have it, I'll be playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes as the wife is buying that, so there's no way she won't want to play it. Fine by me, the game looks loads of fun :D

I think i will have the same issue. Getting Forza, BF4 and obviously Fifa. I am liking the Lego game idea though to play with the wife.

Hoping for a 15th Nov release as its the day before my 30th and would be a great gift from her ;)

I'm tempted by the Lego game too. Love Lego games, love Marvel. Perfect mix, surely? :D

I guess it would make sense to pre-install it then use the download code to unlock it as long as it allowed you to delete the game if you didn't want it.
That would require extra work that I can't imagine MS would want to do, especially considering they're all manufactured in the same location. They'd have to know exactly which consoles should have the game pre-installed. Easier for them to just make it a code for the digital download.

Done it - ordered a X1 for release day, pickup in store - AU$50 deposit with just AU$549 to pay on the day :D

Now just have to choose the games to go with it - although going to have to buy them online and hope they arrive on release day or someone is going to get very annoyed. Ebgames have the games for AU$100 but they are AU$75 online, so big savings to be had!

Think I might just stick with Forza and Dead Rising since I shall still probably have quite a few on the 360 to be getting on with.

Anyone know if when a disc based game is installed to the hard drive, will we still need the disc in the tray? Or did all that go out the window when they removed the online check-in stuff?

Got an email from Sainsbury's today telling me that my order will now include Fifa 14. I wonder if they're going to drop the price of Battlefield 4, seeing as it's on the big river for £42 (£55 on Sainsbury's) :O

BF4 and Forza are deffo day one buys for me but my 3rd game is up in the air,

Watchdogs looks great but I may just get that on the PC instead and get Ryse as its somewhat a break from the norm and I do get that day one DLC ;)

Shame I cant make sure I get all that preorder goodness for online games or i'd buy them online but I want the DLC/Extras with Forza and BF4 so looks like im stuck with the disks.

Yes, disc still required as they (unfortunately) abandoned the online checks. That was one feature they removed that I actually would have liked :/

Only if you're willing to pay over the odds from Game. They have priced the Day One games over the RRP as they have the exclusive on them :/

Thought that would be the case, hopefully they can bring that feature back at some point. Maybe a setting or on on a per game basis or something.

That's not even competition, Microsoft's Games with Gold is laughable compared to the content offered through PS+. I imagine when the new consoles arrive Microsoft will want to improve that aspect of Gold to bring it up to speed with what Sony are offering, especially as the Playstation 4 is adding party chat and other improvements to the OS.
Ooooh Party chat, so new, so innovative, so... wait, what?... ;) :)
