**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

My dilemma is I have decided to get the xbox one, the trouble is none of the launch titles interest me at all. So I don't know whether it's even worth pre-ordering or bothering about launch. I imagine if I got one in November I'd end up playing Ghosts purely because nothing else interests me and I would have played the SP anyway in ghosts.

Hmm to buy at launch or hold off for the post xmas kinectless bundle ;)

Some interesting analysis around the details of XO architecture. Still some mysteries and stuff not disclosed but it's looking to be shaping up as a nicely rounded bit of next gen kit which could be important, GPU on it's own isn't everything, in particular if MS want to appeal to markets outside the traditional 14-30years old male hardcore gamer.

I've been avoiding posting all of the technical news in here after everyone jumped on me about the hUMA stuff, but i'll mention that the latest few articles come to the conclusion that the XB1 doesn't have hUMA, but it seems Microsoft have integrated their own system which does something similar apparently.

Please do post news and be involved in positive discussion, it's your insistence of posting unsubstantiated anti XBox rumours as fact and then refusing to accept or believe any positive versions that gets you jumped on. Not surprising given you seem to be only posting in a Xbox One thread with the single purpose of trying to rubbish XO vs PS4. /shrug

Interestingly reference hUMA I've since heard it's an optimised version specific for the XO architecture rather than general purpose "out of the box" so potentialy more performant than a bog standard hUMA implementation.

In either case your original point that XO was at a huge disadvantage with PS4 having hUMA and XO not is kind of moot really.

You're clearly too old to be buying a games console if you don't fancy any of the games :p

not even watchdogs ?

Not seen a great deal about it, saw some fighting segment and then saw ubisoft. Brain switched off then :D

Ghost's maybe or Need for Speed if they would drop the catch up ****.

Assassins creed I'm so very bored of. I played to completion them all except 3. How many times can you play the exact same game? :(

The rest will disappoint I'm sure, launch titles are rarely that great due to time constraints and the moving goalposts in hardware.

Which ones are you interested in old man, I know your less fussy than me on account of not being able to see anything higher res than 320 and being partially deaf.

So far I'm definitely getting Watch Dogs, CoD: Ghosts, Dead rising and Battlefield.

I'll probably play Ghosts, complain about the same old crap and carry on playing it :p Watch Dogs and Dead Rising I'm very excited about. Battlefield I'm not convinced on, I'm hoping it will be good though as 64 player games could be fun.

I agree with you on Assassin's Creed - I got bored playing 3 and can't be bothered going back to it.

I'd forgotten about the new Need for Speed - could be fun but will probably have the same catch up crap in it making the single player game infuriating.

Dead Rising will suck. Fact ;) Not heard great things about it and the excuse has been the build. Well there isn't long to go so not a lot will change for a launch title. It never does. Plus it zombies and zombies are dull. I liked the first one but hated the controls.

Watch dogs I will wait on reviews and feedback from here. I'm never convinced by Ubisoft, anything they make with any form of combat except R6 has been mindless drivel imo.

Battlefield, let me save you £50 for your kids inheritance old man, everyone will pretend they are going to play it and then go back to playing COD because it takes no brain power, launches in seconds and you can scratch your nuts while playing it. For that reason I'm out! Just get Ghosts and save your self any pretense of wanting a change!

64 players, lol. That's just 8 times as fast you will quit and go back to the game you know you can go positive KD on!

Next you will be telling me you are going to play fifa!

See you on Spec ops!

Hate that with NFS games. Rubber banding at its worst.

It's sucj=h a shame, I'd love the games if it wasn't for that. I'm sick of dull serious driving games like Borza, yawn. NFS would fill the gap nicely left by PGR is if wasn't for that damn catch up!
