OK so I'm just recovering from being banned on here, for allegedly bumping a thread. I did no such thing but maybe posted twice in a row without editing my first post.

A quick question, as I know OCUK don't like being quizzed over infractions. Is the banning system automated? I mean, if I accidentally posted twice in quick succession in the wrong forum should I not at least have a chance to say sorry and remove my post?

There's a word in your signature spelt incorrectly, it starts fine, but then has an incorrect letter and then misses a letter. The sentiment of you being it yesterday and being it again today might prove accurate.

If you bumped in the MM then you get a ban, there are very strict rules for that forum and they are enforced oppressively, for the better of that forum. Elsewhere its a rather more easy, as money, offers and potential spam can be consider as GD material on certain occasions.

I accept the penalty for misuse of the forum but question the rules implementation. I didn't 'bump' deliberately just made an honest mistake and had no chance to offer an explanation or apology.

There are times on here that things seem to get a little bit over zealous and yet so much drivel and rudeness gets through.

I'm just ranting like any wrongly imprisoned person would, the OCUK is great but really some chill needs to be brought in at times.

@Andybtsn I have read the rules, there's just so many that I forget from time to time, I'm no spring chicken and these things happen.

@Hikari Kisugi - There's nothing wrong in my sig it's from America :-)

@King Damager - My original post question whether there was a human involved or whether it was automated I'm getting the feeling it is automated and hence no one to question directly.

It's not automated, there is always someone involved. Knowing the mod team, whether it's human is another matter ;)
