I wonder how long it will be before we get the "Rapist sues victim for giving him HIV" headline though. That seems to be the common practise these days. Or can he sue her at all, being that hes been convicted of a crime?

I highly doubt any litigation would be possible. Most litigation would come through negligence, which this obviously can't be.

Excellent news im really happy about that, I just hope he doesn't go to the European Court of Human right and go after the victim, saying she should have warned him, this is the crazy BS I have come to expect.
I personally think he should have his cockles sliced of with a long and shinny blade..... but that's another thread

Deserves nothing less. But this is still horrible, despite the perpetrator getting an instant punch from karma, the victim has none the less been raped.

Also I worry that if he does strike again he will infect another person with HIV, so not only will the next victim have to live with rape but also the lasting effects of HIV.

Everyone shouting karma etc.

The biggest loser here is the victim, the second biggest is the taxpayer who'll be paying a fortune for the rest of the guys life - you can pretty much live a normal life with HIV given the right treatment, which sadly we'll provide "free".

European court of stupid decisions should be governed by a healthy dose of common sense.

Hope the shiny blade you speak of is blunt, even better rusty and blunt!

There is the dilemma; don't wish him a speedy exit, long and painful life is preferable. Then there is the consideration of the cost of his treatment, swings and roundabouts here, can't have him die quickly but can't see him sucking up hard pressed NHS funds.
