**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Good old Microsoft with the PR yet again...

Phil Harrison at Gamescom exact wording was "All pre-orders for Xbox One this holiday will include a copy of FIFA 14 at no additional cost. All pre-orders to date and whilst stocks last."

I think we had a debate about this last week and decided that is was just the Day One Editions that would get a code for FIFA so it's not really a shocker.
Having said that the messaging has once again been terrible from MS (luckily I've already got my pre-order for the day one edition)

MS ****ing up the PR again shocker.

The people they put up in front of the public at trade shows etc.. really need to their facts straight. It was so obvious that only the Day One edition was going to get it !

They've made it pretty clear imo, it even said while stocks last so it wasn't like it was going to last forever. You can still order a Day One edition so what's the problem  It's a nice bonus for fans preordering.

I've played all of these F2P games(well, most), and for me they all seem to get stale really quickly for some reason....Planetside, Tribes, Warframe etc. The only one I stuck with was World of Tanks. There is something wrong with F2P games that I can't quite put my finger on. There is always the thought in my head of "right, how much has that guy paid to get that?" I prefer a game where everyone definitely starts on an even footing.

I don't understand what benefit MS have by holding back the release date now, either they have issues and they are not confident they can make the date or it's going to be later than the PS4 and they hope that anyone who is on the fence with the consoles will not go to the PS4...

If they are going to beat Sony then I think they need to say now so the customers and retailers can plan accordingly.

Not really bothered about the external storage but the confusion over Fifa and the deafening silence about a release date certainly don't help the impression that MS don't care about their customers as much as Sony appear to.

Truth be told, I wish Sony had the better launch line-up as I'd rather support them based on how they have handled the next-gen process thus far but the XB1's line-up is much better so I haven't got much choice but to grab both! (Not that my inner geek minds)

Me neither, but MS seem very coy about what is available at launch from what they have announced. It just seems they are needing to clarify everything just now as the original information is lacking concrete info.

My PS3 has about 20-30 games on it (I think) and it is only a 320gb drive. I would expect between 15-25 games able to be on Xbox One at a time

To be honest, I don't think either company cares as much about the customer as they do about profit. Both companies are really just after your money, it's just that Sony have so far done a far better job of making the right noises in convincing people they're the company to give your money to.

Totally agree, I have no belief that either company actually cares about me beyond getting my money but it'd be nice if MS did a better job of pretending they did, I'd like to be wooed a bit more before I drop my pants :D

Its just the principle of saying one thing then doing another. Really narks me.
