Even without considering Bale, just shows they use a completely different "rulebook" to nearly everyone else

I agree that it's better Lukaku goes out on loan to a club that will give him premiership game time, rather than having him sit around warming the bench. But I'd like to see him starting in big games. For me, he's exactly the kind of player Chelsea need. Eto'o seems a shadow of his former self (lacking pace specifically), and Torres has had more than enough in the way of chances. If it weren't for his inflated pricetag, Torres would have been long gone by now.

I'd call you one of the more sensible ones though, at least :p!

It's a massive shame really, if there was any time that you'd be wanting him to stick around and make a mark, it's now when there's no clear main man and the other strikers are a bit naff.

Instead, sling him out on loan, frustrating!

I thought last season was nail biting tbh we just about got into the champions league on the last day of the season thanks to Koscielny's goal.

Don't get me wrong I like Giroud but if he gets injured or grabs a red card its game over as we have no Gervinho to cover like last season or unlikely to see Podolski till Christmas, very risky imo.

So Liverpool wouldn't deal with us thats fine, but for gods sake Higuain was apparently dragging his feet waiting for Arsenal to counter Napoli's offer, 42.5m for Ozil when you could have bought Higuain for 30+ just stinks tbh

I honestly think giroud will get close this season if he avoids injury. He's not clinical as rvp but he is strong in the air and does a good job.

Higuain would have been a better fit for us then Ozil imo, and better cover
 
Can't believe people are complaining about Arsenal buying Ozil, and for the cost.

Guess Wenger really is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I think it was more chelski blocked it rather than about money.
