Should water companies be banned form adding fluoride to our water?

How is my statement stupid? Look at the warning on the toothpastes. They are basically saying if you swallow more than teaspoon full of toothpaste consult a poisons center. A teaspoon full is enough for you to have to consult a poisons center? They are telling you fluoride is poisonous. I don't care if they are diluting it. They are diluting a poison and putting it on our water.

says that on non fluoridated tooth paste too mate.

it's because it's not fit for human consumptions.

just like it says it on TCP and bongella.

they're telling you something not for internal use is not for internal use, like anti septic cream says do not eat.

Also did you know that robinsons orange concentrate and even honey shouldn't be given to very young children because it will kill them too in higher amounts.

Nicotine is a poison yet it is in minute amounts in tomatoes, are you up in arms about that?

Wow what a classic GD way to twist things. I say fluoride is a poison and you try and associate that with a very stupid conspiracy theory about the queen being a lizard?

Look at the warnings on the labels.

No you said you watched a video that told you fluoride dumb people down, which is a CT (usually by the same people as the queen is a lizard) that the government/ NWO is trying to control people.

you then say that fluorine is used in chemical weapons, ok fine, so is carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, and hydrogen. all things needed by your body.

You say it has warning labels o nit for small children, of course it ****ing does it's a highly concentrated mixture it'll kill a child same way honey will let alone anything else.

also like i said those labels are on non fluoridated tooth paste too.

eating/drinking Pretty much everything including water in large amounts will kill you, especially so if your a child

I'd imagine the warnings are mostly there to prevent said toothpaste companies being sued, after some idiot eats a tube of toothpaste and becomes ill. It is the US, after all.

The warnings suggest you become more than a little bit ill. They don't just say something like "Drink lots of water if you swallow some". They say consult a poisons center.

So it's not a poison but you have to consult a poisons center if you swallow more than you normally put on your toothbrush?

That is the one point you choose to contest? :-P

Of course it is, he can't be indignant about the others.

As people have stated, it's merely to cover their own backs. On the off chance someone ate a load of toothpaste they can go 'not our fault, we put a warning on there'.

I feel sorry for the poor rat that was fed chilli peppers until it exploded.

Whilst I appreciate the usefulness of the data, I would ban this kind of testing. It's inhumane. We as a species should not be deliberately poisoning living creatures in the name of science :/

This isn't the 1960's - fluoride has been in the water for many decades. If there were any actual health problems they should be long identified by now.

I thought the main reason it was implemented was the dental care system in the USA is different to Europe - 6 month checkups for all children are not a normal thing over there like they are here, and the additional intake of fluoride did reduce cavity rates.

Not about nicotine because people choose to smoke. I am not given the choice to have fluoride in my water or not. I didn't know it was in tomatoes.

If fluoride is safe in minute amounts and good for fighting cavities why do some uk companies add it and some don't?

The lethal dose for most adult humans is estimated at 5 to 10 g

your toothpaste pic is 1000ppm

so say 1 milligram is one part, thats 1 gram in 1kg of toothpaste.

So to die you're going to need to swallow 5kg of the stuff.

Good luck with that.

Israel have just banned it as have most of the EU, it is a poison and doesn't help your teeth systemically so on balance I'm against it, it would be cheaper to send a social worker to visit kids of dead beats and brush their teeth.

You choose to eat tomatoes, you choose to drink tap water.

Cost. In the US at least it costs roughly $1 per person, per year to add it to the water. That's $300,000,000 dollars per year.

Instead of reading articles from news sources, YouTube videos or the side of a box of toothpaste, read the scientific literature on fluoridation. That would give you a much better grounding on the evidence of any health risks.

I'll also mention your obvious flaw in logic when you point out the warning on the toothpaste box. It says consult a poison centre in case of an overdose but you've assumed that this is because of the flouride and not the myriad of other ingredients.

Everything will kill you in an excessive dose. Even Jaffa Cakes.

Lol. But you are still saying eating toothpaste can cause a problem. They are covering their backs because as they say on the labels if you eat more than you put on toothbrush consults your poisons center. They don't say if you eat a load of toothpaste. They say if you eat more than you put on your toothbrush I don't know about you but I would say I put roughly 1 teaspoon full of toothpaste on my toothbrush.
