Ever been mugged or had someone attempt to mug you

Was nearly just mugged, was walking back home from my dad house with nothing on me but a bag with a few electronic items. Some woman came up to me and said she had been attacked and wanted help.She had a black eye as well, maybe might have been makeup. If she wanted help she could have just walked into the shop. She also looked very dodgy with scruffy hair and clothes. Also I knew that you won't get bruising instantly from a physical attack. After I said to her that you should go to the shop ( that was still open), she started chasing me. Then a teenager from behind started running at me full pace. So I literally just legged it back home, and he was still following until I managed to open my door.

Was the strangest thing I have ever experienced, I guess these people wanted to make people feel like it wasn't an attempt at a mugging. But it was so obvious to me as what she was saying was complete horse crap.

I did report it to the police, I know there are a few police officers on here and I wonder if they know of any similar things happening. Also it would be interesting if you have experienced anything like this.

This did happen in a very dim lit area, and on the bad side of the estate. I really don't feel comfortable walking past that shop anymore at night.
 
Had some guy say he wanted my wallet and phone once, not sure what happened but I told him to go **** himself. In his moment of confusion, I took the opportunity to leg it. Probably stupid of me as I had no idea if he was carrying a knife or something else nasty.
 
I was abducted once, had all my possessions stolen as well. Wasn't the best experience of my life I have to say, but I got out of college for a while :D
 
I had a paper round and at one point I covered some other kids round because they didn't turn up, this was in winter where it got dark early,

2 blokes who looked way older than me (20+) followed me, confronted me and tried to get me to hand over my phone, So I ditched my paper bag and made a run for it and my phone fell out of my pocket, tried to pick it up and got a swift kick and they ran off with my phone.

I wasn't hurt but doing my round for a while after was pretty ****, watching over your shoulder and every noise.

That was about 13-14 years ago, If that happened now I would probably just get stabbed without a word. :rolleyes:

Me and a friend got mugged whilst walking through a park when we were about 15 (we're 28 now). Two girls stole my friend's phone, but we had a quick girlie fight and got it back before running as fast as possible (our first and last fight!). My friend still has a scar down her chest where one of the girls scratched her.
 
Once when I was a kid, about 10, by three 15y/os. Got one in the face for my troubles too. Another when I was about 15 carrying a walkman, only time the mugging involved a weapon.

Lastly when I was about 18, it was an attempted mugging. I was standing outside my house with a mate at about 1am and 4 guys drove past in a car, slowed way down next to us, went up the road and turned around. Parked up about 20 yards away, 3 got out the car with ski masks on, grabbed my mate and started going through his pockets. He resisted and by that time I'd already been inside to get a weapon to scare them off with, worked out fine.

The first time when I was 10 y/o messed me up a bit for a while, but not too bothered about the latter 2 oddly enough.
 
A few years ago i was walking back from a friends house (through radford in notts).

There was a bus stop with two guys (~18) leaning on each side

I think they were jumping people walking down the road like this:

As i approached the bus station another friend called, i picked up the phone.

It suddenly dawned on my that they were both right behind me and I stopped, looked right around and looked at them and spoke into the phone "which road is it again?".

I used that line just to turn around and look them square in their faces. They both froze. I walked a little further mumbling rubbish into the phone. I stopped and looked around again and said into the phone "oh, i think its this road" - an opportunity to see if they were still following me - luckily they werent - they had gone back to the bus stop and assumed their previous positions.

I was bricking it tbh.

Anyway, after that my friend what was going on as id been talking rubbish on the phone so i explained the situation.
 
I was mugged once waiting for a bus after school, I guess about 8 years ago. I didn't have any money but did have a phone. The moron was kind enough to let me take my sim card out though. The whole experience was weird.
 
I got spiked and mugged in Budapest by 2 fit girls (scammers).... long story so will write about it when I get home... cba doing it while on my phone :)
 
I didn't get mugged but I once had someone come up to me and punch me in the face as he had mistaken me for someone else. I was about 12 at the time.
 
I had some guy punch me on the shoulder walking down the street last week. About my height, slightly bigger build, lots of facial hair and slightly unkempt appearance. Clearly ****ed as a skunk at about 5pm in a busy street in the city centre. As I came past it looked like he was going to say something raising his hand which turned into a fist and made contact with my shoulder. I got a step or two past and stopped, thinking hmm, turned to look at him and he stopped and almost done the same just stopping to catch me in his peripheral and stood not making eye contact sort of hovering.. I was thinking about keyboarding his puss for the cheek of it but he just looked too ****ed and I ended up feeling a bit pity. As I turned and walked away a women who had seen this walking down the street smiled.
