Thoughts on?

It's our anniversary this weekend and the wife mentioned many moons ago she quite liked them but it was only passing conversation.

Don't fancy shelling out on if she's not going to wear it.

A lot of my friends have Pandora bracelets or Thomas Sabo charm bracelets. I don't think they're anything special to be honest. I prefer diamonds :D

I think the charms ones are a bit crappy. They do sort of cloth bracelets with a pattern and a bit of silver or whatever, I think those look alright. Just seeing someone with about 30 cats, an ice cream, a sail boat, a fish and a chicken thigh clad in silver, stuck around their wrist looks a bit silly. Some of them are alright, but justifying the price is always a bit tricky imo.

I bought my sister a charm for her pandora bracelet, a while back, cost like £35-£40 for a charm, it arrived and I was kind of disappointing, was really tiny, and looked quite meh :/

She seemed pleased with it though, I could think of much better things to spend £40 on lol :p, then again I am a male

We got my mum one for her birthday a while ago, and the rest of the family and some friends bought charms for it. She liked it a lot, adding and adjusting them is a big part of their appeal.

I shudder at how much the completed thing must have cost though :o

yea My missus has one.. I must have spent £200 on charms through the past 3 years.

her mums has even more and some charms with real diamonds on o.O

If she mentioned it many moons ago then she's probably changed her mind now :p I don't think they're as "fashionable" as they once were. Correct me if I'm wrong?

When you buy them, don't forget to bring the lube.

When you give it to her, don't forget to bring the lube.

Overpriced ****e, but isn't everything women like just that?

They are still very popular, you only have to see how many shops they now have and what the queues are like at Christmas! It might have lost the edge with fashionistas compared to when it was new though, like anything.

I actually like them because of the simple fact they are a really easy present for my Mother & Sister at Birthdays/Xmas/Celebrations etc.

I think they are quite decent really. Gives people nice easy gift options for and takes some pressure off us blokes when trying to pick something in a jewelers.

Pppppft! That's one of the reasons I never wanted one. Nowt worse than seeing some girl carrying half her body weight in charms around her wrist...

Got the gf one about 3 years ago.
Good gift cause you can just buy charms for the next while for gifts but havent done so for a while, maybe theyre getting a little long in the tooth?

The thing is worth about 700quid now ffs

Depends what your budget is really. For the price it's probably a better long term present than the equivalent cost of a crappy pair of earrings or necklace.

The attraction of these is in the memories that go with the charms if they are carefully considered and bought for special occasions, although my wife has one which is almost full now as the kids use it as a fallback present when they can't think of anything else!

Sometimes I'll buy her a charm for £50 (although some are a lot more), other times I might spend 3 or 4k on proper jewellery that will always have value.
