Could Volcanic Islands based AMD with a 22nm SOI design featuring 2304 to 2560 stream processors be

Right, MS has been covering this secret with a sticker, and NO ONE has ever taken it off.

The real reason they didn't want it publicly shown? The PS4 is the stronger console.

So more googling found this

Notice the DDR3 to the left? :D

Either way I'm glad I gambled my way through the hatred and ordered regardless. I want Forza 5 even if the console is weaker!

Don't you think the quality of the game demos at E3 etc would have been notably better if the X1 really had this capability?

What would make more sense and would be the ultimate MS marketing troll will be for these rumors to be false yet, leaked/disseminated my MS to boost sales at a crucial moment.

No. The demos were running on dev kits. In some cases the dev kits were a lot more powerful than the current official XBOne spec.

I.e. the dev kits had nVidia GTX700 series GPUs inside.

If you like conspiracy theories, then the fact that the display units were running much more powerful hardware than the XBOne has inside, could be used as 'evidence' :p I won't suggest that it is anything of the sort. Just a marketing trick that backfired.

That's my point , even on the pc hardware it wasn't conspiracy theory mind blowing, which if the rumours were true it could have been.
