People have a funny idea of what money is, where it comes from, how it's "spent" and that it would be available for other things if any of the above never occurred...

He's the future king so I'm not surprised by this. He is a genuine bloke and if he wasn't second in line to the throne I suspect he's stay in longer. He has saved numerous lives in his career and good luck to him.

He's not second in line though :confused:

e: He's fourth, and with his brother there it's highly unlikely that his brother will die before George has had children. He will literally most likely never reach the throne

George - third in line

William is second in line after his father Charles, who is first in line.

Charles hasn't said anything like that, and constitutionally it would be very difficult, if not impossible to abdicate in favour of someone without actually taking the crown to begin with.

Loving the whining about a few hundred thousand being wasted in the forces. He did a service for the country it's a very small cost considering what he has done.

You should see how much is spent on fuel for a couple of C17's flying all day doing bump and runs. A couple of hundred thousand is nothing.
