Any of you watching this?

I have just discovered it; there are 3 Seasons out I believe. It is very, very good. Great writing, high production values and you care about the characters straight away.
 
just started watching this because of this thread, on series 2 now, very good. I do love the setting though, cant beat a good old cow boy!
 
Yeah I'm watching this, love it. A friend suggested it when it started so I'm up to date with the current season. Similar in many ways to Deadwood so if you liked that (who doesn't?) you'll like this too.
 
I have a question about Season 3.

Season 2 spoilers beware.
Im only on episode 5 but why is The Swede alive? I got the impression that he died when he jumped, especially since Bohannon didn't shoot. His utter conviction to have The Swede hanged would not have allowed him to simply watch as the Swede wam away.
 
I thought he was gone for good too, the water was far too shallow to survive surely. He floated away looking pretty dead from Bohannons (and our) point of view, I guess he was knocked out and the family found him soon after.
 
I love Hell On Wheels (as I do Deadwood, in fact pretty much all Neo-Western stuff on big and small screen, Cowboys are the new Pirates for me! ;)), It's so well written and acted and the location choices are always fitting.
 
I like the setting and period but something about the show just seems a little off to me.

It did keep my interest though throughout the seasons.
