I really like the cool master quite case in black or is it corsair but cannot check as at work on phone, I would like a intel build but not sure what components work together etc

Any recommendations welcome and thanks again

Thanks Dean

thanks again doomed speed looks great but will also need disk drive, will all that work together and I really don't know about over clocking Is it worth doing etc for gaming I didn't do with last system

Thanks dean

If you ask on an Overclocking forum whether it is worth it, you will get tons of replies saying it is! Mainly because overclocking is fun and does have significant affects on performance (it also is easy to do and safe!).

I will say, if you only game at 1080p single screen, you will have absolutely fine performance without overclocking. However, you will find that an overclock system will last fair bit longer with a few cheap upgrades and a tweak or two over the years, than a system which cant be overclocked significantly. Even if you dont have the confidence in overclocking now, you will have gained some by the time you watch a video or two and have set up your new pc!

In gaming, overclocking a GPU will make the biggest difference usually when you make a gaming PC on a balanced budget, though that's not to say you shouldn't overclock a CPU if you can. Right now, it might not seem worth it to you because you are putting together a pc on a budget, but much later when you are considering an upgrade when an overclock will benefit you just as well, you might regret not leaving your components open to it. I think from the posted build, it will cost probably £90-100 more at least to give you the biggest overclocking flexibility (Z87 MOBO, slightly better cooler and a K chip). While this puts you well above budget, i personally think its worth it. You can always drop the cooler and buy it at a later date when you choose to overclock the CPU (GPU can be overclocked without it).

thanks for the advice mate, so a lot of overclocking is keeping everything cooler as running at higher temperatures, I do want my pc to last for the best games for 2-3 years so spending a little extra is fine, so if you want to spec me a better pc for overclocking that's fine, will gaming on total war etc require a cpu cooler if not overclocked or would the one you get with cpu be sufficient ? but if needed I could upgrade mobo for better overclockable one.also will require a disk drive maybe blu ray

thanks dean

what would you change if were thinking you may upgrade in future but not massively more expensive and want a better system than my last lol also will the rig play rome and company of heros 2 on ultra and gta V and battlefield 4 and other games for couple year, thinking now when starts struggling in couple year could overclock when needed , is that what more people do?

also quite like this case as want a quite pc but also like the window lol

what you think is best case shinobi or silenco

Thanks Dean

Silenco 100%

The shinobi (while amazing to look at) as pretty dire airflow to start with and the core not having any fans as stock adds to your expense.

thanks again mate, what you think about the rest ? will play all modern games and you think best tu upgrade slightly for over clocking when needed ?

thanks again dean

also what's difference between ivybride 1155 and haswell processor's my last setup had 1155 sandy bridge and I want possibility to overclock in future

Thanks Dean

If you mean the spec i did yeah it will be great. You can't overclock those CPU's easy but the GPU will overclock like a beast. :D

also this one says 2x 120mm fans pre installed

would prefer a window and the soundproofing and this seems like great candidate and please also answer my question above, as exited to get cracking

thanks Dean

Well spotted.. The normal 'core' edition (non-soundproofed) don't come with fans, i wrongly assumed it would be the same. Good eyes.

The silenco is soundproofed as standard, as its designed to be that way not modifed (as the shinobi is).

If you really want to overclock you need a K series CPU and a Z** <insert relevant chipset here> motherboard.

Haswell is the newest gneration of processors (using the 1150 socket) while Ibybirdge is the previous.. The performance difference is only about 5%-10%. But the prices are quite similiar.

If you want to overclock this may be a good shout:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £185.99
1 x **B Grade** Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £60.00
Total : £257.39 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Though this brings up more issues because you need a good cooler to overclock effectively and you won't be able to get a decent cool in your case due to the clearence being so low. Unless you get a CLC (closed loop cooler) which start at £50..

Can of worms.

If you want silent and overclockable you'll have to fork out more (sorry).

very helpful doomedspeed so thank you very much, firstly going to go for the shinobi with the fans as want window and secondly when I built my last computer I never overclocked but plan on keeping this one few years so think will go with the haswell cpu you have specked me and I wont overclock for time being as no need, as long as this setup will all fit and play Rome 2 and battlefield and company of hero's etc this will be great as its my main use, so aslong as you know will play these games with ease and play the latest games for next 2 years or so that's fine you think that's sounds ok mate

also can you tell me decent cd drive that will work ?

also will that cooler fir the shinobi listed?

thanks again for your time its appreciated
