Anyone going down to Wembley on saturday to see Roger Waters , cant wait although i will be standing and have not stood at a concert in over 25 years. Tried on my old denim jacket that i have not worn since going to see Def Leppard at Whitley bay in 1988 but looked a right tool so will give that a miss.

Jealous of you all going! Saw him last on the In The Flesh tour in Birmingham.

Fantastic show and one damn sound chap if you ask me.

Hope you have a fantastic time! (Through gritted teeth) :D

No, it actually is ignorance given whether you like them or not they are part of the cultural history of this country. Pretty sure this debate has been done to death in every Pink Floyd thread since the year dot though.

OP - should be a great show.

Boyzone are (were?) Irish and I think anyone that lived through the 90s could name the Spice Girls.

I can't name them all.

Posh, baby, etc. I can but not their actual names. What does Boyzone's nationality have to do with it? Does it mean they weren't part of the culture of the UK?

Yes, if I was looking to sum up the UK's musical history it would make little sense to include a foreign band.

You didn't say musical history, you said cultural history.

Boyzone fit into both of those, more so than Pink Floyd. You just don't like that fact. Boyzone have even had 6 number ones, Pink Floyd have had a poxy 1.

Do Queen have any place in the UK's musical history? Freddie Murcury wasn't English. What about Thin Lizzy? U2? Both Irish...
