Explains why we'll be getting it sooner rather than later for PC. Makes perfect sense and no doubt is the reason the original current gen console release was pushed back.

Given the way the game would have been coded it's likely we'll also see a good performing version with extra graphical fidelity.

That is assuming the reason for the usual delay is that and not a business decision.

That seems pretty reasonable. I really want to play it straight away like I did with GTA IV on my PS3, but I feel like it's going to be a less enjoyable experience for me, especially as the PC version is the one I want to play!

I think you mean around the other way, a business decision will likely bring the release forward. Catching the Christmas and next-gen console release will sell more copies naturally.

The 'usual' delay is caused by the porting process which likely will be already done. Code has already been found relating to a PC/PS4 version so things are looking pretty good IMO.

Obviously I could be completely wrong but I do keep hopeful. Been very impressed by what I've seen on live streams so far - It'll likely be even more fun when GTA Online hits.

I be buying twice ps3 and then PC... So looking at it from that point Rockstar is doing something right from a business point of view... If they was to say it was coming to PC at same time as console I wouldn't be buying it twice.

I think I not alone either.

Exactly, it makes sense for them to not announce anything next-gen/PC as people would 'hold out' till those versions come. People will however buy twice for the extra fidelity when it's released.

Crafty Rockstar is crafty.

There isn't one. Nothing has been said. There is mentions of PC variables residing in the game's code for the console versions but that is it. Rockstar love to get us double/triple dipping and they'll take full advantage of that. Suffice to say a PC version will come much later.

I just hope it is a lot more optimised than the mess that was GTA IV powered by GFLWLWLWL and Rockstar Social Club bloat.

If its not out for PC any time soon then I presume it means its not coming out on PS4 either? Doesn't the PS4 have the same x64 architecture as PC. Not sure on hardware specs of the Xbox One

18fps in 720p is simply not acceptable by my standards (above video of GTAIV) This must mean that either GTAV will run like a bag of turnips on PS3 / Xbox 360 at something like 10fps or the textures and general graphics will look like someone has smeared vaseline over everything

GTAIV runs like a dream with HD texture and graphics mods on my machine (i5@4ghz, GTX670, 4gb ram) (30fps lowest in intense action, everything maxed, 1440p)

You're not, I will be picking this up on the 360 then pc if it arrives.
