Twitter is fantastic, I use it for news, football/f1, my job as well as having a laugh with my mates.

Can't see how people can't get some form of benefit from how quick interesting things to you can be released.

But would I want people from a computer forum to follow me? Not really

I use it to self deprecate, endlessly moan about the French and Swiss, chat with some cool people (present company excluded), and as a feed for Business/food/work/stuff.

I don't usually go for this social networking rubbish but Twitter is the exception.

It's useful for information gathering if nothing else.

As much as I don't tweet much, I do find it really useful for news. Better than an RSS feed or news website. Plus it's like one massive forum when searching for answers to problems/questions etc.
