Just watched Souths v Melbourne ( bailed out of the Hull v Catalans game at half time). The NRL have switched to our play off game system and they're getting huge crowds. Mind you, I wouldn't be missing many games if they were the same quality and intensity as that. The Burgess brothers look in good form and Widdop made his comeback for Melbourne (although he looked well off the pace).

Aye NRL is a massive different ball game IMO. I'm thankful we've (Eng) got a few players playing over there or else come World Cup time we'd be a laughing stock. Looking forward to see the Burgess boys in action for England, absolute monsters, all of them.

In other news, Leeds travelling to Wire today. I hope the squad stays unchanged from how it was vs Wigan and we turn up. Can see it being a cracker if it stays fine, too. Going for Leeds by 21! ;)

COME ON RHINOS!

Absolutely ****ing fuming with this reffing so far. WHY is BRIERS still on the pitch? If that was Bailey, straight red. Some ****ing consistency on display by the RFL Refs there, ****ing JOKE!

I'd be more upset about that last Westwood "try". At no time did the ball hit the ground, I honestly think that was just as bad as the Ganson Magic Weekend decision, given that it went to the video ref. It was given as benefit of the doubt, but to me, there was no doubt.

That too, complete farce. Leeds defence hasn't been great but Leeds have had no rub of the green then it comes to decisions. The mind boggles at some of the decisions I've seen made today.

Looks like we've got Hull at home in the next round then? Then someone gets to 'pick us' (;)) in the club call?

Think we'll need it! Saints look like the dark horses imo. Briers should miss the semi, can see a Leeds/Wigan final.

leeds were robbed. some awful decisions went against them.

Not sure I'd go that far, they had a couple of bad decisions but the only player who really turned it on was Burrows, overall Warrington were too cohesive for them. I'd expect a totally different performance form them in the elimination finals.

Cant see either Wigan or Wire wanting Leeds in the club call either (is it Warrington's first pick as they finished higher in the league)?

(is it Warrington's first pick as they finished higher in the league)?

Yeah, I hope to god they pick us and we get to play them again. This absolute farcicle of a call by the RFL not to ban Briers has opened up a can of worms with the Leeds lot and they'll be gunning for blood.

Its all about his disciplinary record, he didn't make the rules. A lot of my Leeds mates say if it was Bailey he would get 1 match and be out, yes probably, but then he's been up for striking on a number of occasions and has used his early plea whereas this is Briers first call in front of the panel for the offence.

The RFL rules state: “A player who submits an Early Guilty Plea will automatically receive the suspension at the lower scale of the tariff for his graded offence and lose the right to submit an EGP for 12 months.”

Grade A offences carry a tariff of 0-1 games.

You also have to remember that Briers punches like a big girls blouse, I'd even be embarrassed to call that a punch, more like a girlie slap. Abletts reaction was priceless, he didn't know whether to be shocked that it was Briers or laugh at the attempted Punch!! :D
