Hey guys (first post)

I'm looking for a basic low cost, plain but very practical ATX case that'll be good to fit a Hydro H110 top side.

I've gone through the cases in the store but it's only the Obsidian 550D that confirms compatibility and that's stretching my budget for something too fancy for my needs.

Many cases say they have space at the top for dual 140mm fans, looking round the photos of the chassis it's not clear how much space there is at the top above the motherboard to get a radiator and fan combo in there.

Are there any tried and tested combos someone can recommend please?
In the meantime I'll carry on searching and draw up a short list, see whether anyone can help with that?

have you already got the h110?

as most cheaper cases are made for 120s at the top for the likes of h100i.

the h110 will preform slighly better but your looking at around max of 5c.

Well i was building a PC for a friend last night and he got a H100.
I can confirm that the Anidees AI-6B Midi Tower Case will NOT fit a 240mm rad and fans in the roof as the fans hit the MOBO and there is no way of fitting the fans on the outside. also you can fit a 240mm rad in the front but the pipes of the H100 then won't reach the cpu

We have ordered some Scythe Kaze Jyuni slim but overclocker dont have them, hopefully we can fit them in

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I went for a Corsair Vengeance C70 in the end. The case is well built with practical features. Although it has a military theme, I would have preferred a flight/transport case theme in this build.

I totally agree, if it's just about the max cooling capacity, I've read the reviews and comparisons, and there isn't much in it to warrant the extra cost of a bigger case and cooler. You really have to be needing this for a reason or you have money to burn.

I had already made my mind up about the h110. It's for a high end media workstation, so for the majority of the time the CPU is in idle and low power use, with the occasional high power demand for prolonged periods during converting, rendering and encoding.

So far I've been very happy with the h110's performance at these two extremes (and everything inbetween), and fitting it to the C70 was quite painless.
