Baby Crushed to Death at Airport

Why did the mother put the baby on the carasel? Silly thing to do, why would you put your baby on it? Its for bags not babys!
 
There are no words for this, really. Except that she should absolutely be prosecuted and i'll not hear the usual "she's suffered enough" nonsense. Utterly horrendous. Can you even imagine it...
 
Horrific, as you say, how traumatic for others in the airport.

Can't even possibly imagine what the baby's parents are feeling right now.
 
It says it was off and not moving, at the end of the day if the carasel was off and wide enough for the baby carrier to be placed safely then I would expect many parents to do this. It is easier lifting something from waist height than the floor when you pick it back up.

No. It's utterly stupid, lazy and reckless, and this is what can happen as a result. You place the baby on the ground like everyone else who cares for their offspring.

Edit: or you just carry the damned thing like you're supposed to.

Awful news obviously.

Surprised she couldn't remove the carrier from the belt before it reached the rollers. Those things don't mover that fast.
 
I am struggling to understand how the baby was crushed, when it was in a baby carrier though (which are pretty robust!). Obviously baby's are exceptionally fragile just wondering how on earth this happened in this manner.

So utterly distressing :-(

You don't think that the death of their own child caused by them (her) is enough punishment? Any official sentence would be nothing to the torture of what had just happened.
 
This sounds tragic. It's not as if the parent pre meditated the whole thing. I doubt she can live with herself. It's easy spouting crap on a forum but the bond between mother and child is very strong and she wouldn't intentionally do this. Just a very dumb mistake with horrendous consequences :-(

I have to agree with this. What an absolutely stupid thing to do. You'd have to be completely brain dead. I see that the apologists are coming out of the woodwork already :rolleyes:
