how to deal with GIF's on a mobile

Not had no issues on any recent android device. Perhaps it's your browser? Firefox hasn't done me wrong, but neither did dolphin or ICS+ if I recall.

A few people have mentioned Macs and iPhones, I've got the latest gen iPad and it's appalling at loading gifs on this site, luckily most are worth the wait

New phone time for you. I can load an 80 post per thread page on gifs thread and it's fine on the Note 2.

Works fine on my Windows Phone 8, IE.

The forum works fine on my mobile 99% of the time, only the odd Youtube embedded fails for whatever reason.

Terrible on my Nexus 7 with Chrome, awful on Safari on an iPhone 4 (but not surprised with that).

Looking forward to seeing how they render on the 5S.
