Perhaps youll see this as bias, but Id be quite concerned if I was a XO customer right now, especially with their constant mix-messaging the latest of which, is going from when specs didnt matter outside of the number of transistors til today where we see pretty much every week another tech analysis coming out of MS; the majority of which are getting torn apart or just lead to more questions how they get to the numbers they are stating...I think that's a really interesting read, and certainly raises a few questions about just how big the power difference between the two consoles will be, IF the engineers are correct about how the performance will work out.
MS have done themselves no favours though. Their horrid PR so far regarding the Xbox One means that it's so hard for a lot of people to believe them when they come out with interviews like this. People just see it as damage limitation (as above), or just plain lying about it.
My personal concern is that if they have to explain in so much detail how the power is in the console, and how it works, does that mean it's not straightforward to use either? We all know from experience that some consoles have been harder to get the most out of, and they tend to be the ones that suffer slightly in cross-platform games (like the 360 being ever-so-slightly ahead of the PS3 usually). Even if MS are completely correct in that interview, and the power difference is nowhere near as big as it seems on paper, if the power of the console is difficult to use properly, that power difference will become more noticeable again.
I guess the proof will be in the pudding. Only 2 months to go now, can't wait!![]()
MS need to do a Nintendo in my books and talk about the non-tangible benefits unique to the platform. Ive got to the point that I just feel sorry for MS now. I dont trust a single word they say after the XO launch...

. Keep your head in the sand and hope for the best, some of us spend a bit of time trying to understand and get a better idea of the possibilities. I just dont see any problem in being informed...
