Namco have seen sense removed the Windows 8 Xbox For Windows garbage & replaced for Steamworks. This is a superb Pacman game probably the best ever & so much fun on PC I bought the Win 8 edition its a lot of fun I will buy on Steam as well as I hate Win 8! (this version works on XP,Vista & Win 7 as well as 8 but if you buy from Steam no need to run the appalling Xbox For Windows interface).
 
Anyone know if the Windows Store version is being updated to the DX+ edition?

It is cheaper than the Steam store and would mean I do not have to purchase on multiple accounts in the house :)
 
PS3 + Xbox 360 DX+ versions are not free so Win 8 DLC is unlikley to be free either just buy on Steam its only £6.99 to pre-order up until wednesday.

The free update adds half the DLC the other half (the extra pacman skins) you need to buy unless you pre-order they will charge on Steam as well after release day :rolleyes:

I was only considering getting the Windows store version as with multiple Windows 8 computers, the DRM would have been easier as one account can be signed onto multiple computers at the same time so the game would just "be there".

Cannot believe I am in this instance prefering Windows store over Steam :o

Have to buy 2 copies now, one for myself and one for my son.

The cost of the DLC would be cheaper than a second copy although does the WIndows store support "DLC", I have never saw any?

Maybe they will just replace DX for DX+ with the DLC at a higher price if they have it at all. So much uncertainty over the Windows store, especially with updates.

Windows store does support DLC & micro transactions it maybe ingame though and appear in the main menu after its live but they are very slow to update things for UK store Halo Spartan Assasult (which now has gamepad support & is actually quite good) took 8 hours later than US store to be updated before the DLC was available.

MS seem to update the App Store around 2am GMT the next day though :rolleyes:
 
Steam price has gone up to £11.99 now :eek: good job I got it for only £6.99 although I would gladly pay £30-40 for this game on PC without Windows 8 ;)
 
It is a great game.

I got a second copy from GMG for £6 with the code above.

Not much love for it around these parts it seems - lol.
