Capital One Cup - Second Round 24/25 September *** Spoilers ***

Why does anyone rate Kane? He is really poor. No pace, strength or skills.

He's decent enough but I don't think he's good enough for the current team. A loan spell with another PL club would have done him the world of good.

Amazing result last night, for many reasons. New players seems to be settling down and the squad is working well regardless of the combination of selections. I'm a a little concerned about Soldado. He gets in great positions and is getting the chances but he needs to be more clinical.

City didn't get out of second gear last night. Wigan were poor, but they had to put some of their second string in after a European tie on Thurs and Championship game on Sunday.

I liked the look of Marcos Lopez, tonnes of tricks up his sleeves. Went missing for periods of the game though.

Nice to see Richards back, running through people like a rugby player.

Squad list for tonight:

Per Mertesacker – Thomas Vermaelen – Mikel Arteta – Emiliano Viviano – Nacho Monreal - Mathieu Flamini – Lukasz Fabianski – Nicklas Bendtner – Carl Jenkinson – Ju-Young Park – Ryo – Chuba Akpom – Hector Bellerin – Thomas Eisfeld – Serge Gnabry – Isaac Hayden – Kristoffer Olsson – Alex Iwobi

It'll be interesting to see what sort of line up is put out tonight. There are some players that need some game time again (Nani, Kagawa, Clev, Rafael etc.) so that they can get back up to speed but at the same time I'd like to see Zaha/Januzaj get a start.

I suspect we'll see Giggs somewhere in there, especially if we line up with some younger players, just for the 'experience'.

Was that a penalty?

No penalty was given, no.

I don't want to see Giggs, merely because if he's playing then someone else isn't getting a shot. I'd love to see one of Januzaj and Zaha with the other getting time in the second half.

Is Rafael fit again? I hope Fabio gets another shot at right back if not. Could we see Varela?

I wonder why not? Maybe the shot on target? Would the ref given a penalty had the player missed?

I don't mind Giggs awfully from the bench when he's played in the right place, after all he was still actually our second most productive 'wide' player last season ;) :D.

Rafael was training again last week I believe, otherwise who knows, we can hope for Fabio.

Any chance of this tonight?

Code:
            De Gea

Fabio - Vidic - Evans - Evra

      Carrick - Fellaini

Nani - Januzaj - Kagawa

            Rooney

(stick Zaha on if possible at some stage too)

It's more likely Kagawa would be through the middle, Januzaj played drifting in from wide positions for the reserves, and on tour, not as a number 10 even though he can float across.

Okay well that would be fine. If the game was at Anfield I'd pretty much write off any chance of Januzaj starting, but we're at home so it will help his cause.
