Purdy I honestly worry for your mental stability more than I worry about cm/Nick G being mental.

I can't imagine what you'd be like if someone ate your corn flakes by mistake or something.

As you say, we have a thread bare squad, cup competitions are what 7-10 games depending on stages, replays and what not, league is 38. We don't have the quality nor squad depth to win the league.... focusing on either/both cups is the far more prudent way to go.

If we could actually win something, build some belief, strengthen in the summer and push for the league next year, fine. Wasting ALL our effort on the completely unwinnable league is nothing short of a waste.
 
This is better than the City game....but only because Liverpool have been poor. We still look disjointed and useless. I can't even imagine what game plan Moyes had in mind when he picked this team.

Weirdly 39 year olds can't tackle.

Get Giggs off for Ando, Rafael off for Cleverley at some point and stick Jones at full back and this could be a good team. Right now Hernandez is massively isolated because Rooney is having to drop so deep to do what Jones and Giggs can't.
