The Saboteur is supposed to be very good.
pretty good but I never could be bothered to finish it.The Saboteur is supposed to be very good.
Sandbox. Except Mafia 2, that'd may as well be linear and level based.
to me games like minecraft are sandbox. An "open world" game does not necessarily imply a sandbox. In a true "sandbox", the player has tools to modify the world themselves and create how they play

Theres no real aim other than to build , destroy and explore
It's your sandpit and you make whatever you like to have fun
Good point, but I don't think that open world is a genre though.
Just Cause 2 and Red Dead Redemption deserve honourable mentions. RDR is console exclusive, though.
I've just bought this from Gamefly, its £4.99 and activated via Origin.
Indeed I did and after a good 3 hours on it last night, I can confirm that it's a decent bit of fun.
Also with the dodgy irish accent and constant stream of swearing its also a good laugh as well.![]()
A code for a downloadable patch entitled "The Midnight Show" was free to those who purchased a new copy of the game for either the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For the Windows version, the extra content was already included on the disc. The content was also available on Xbox Live Marketplace or for $2.99 on the PlayStation Network (in the UK, the content is free of charge) for people who didn't have the code.[3]
The extra content provides the player with extra brothels and hiding spots. It also includes a minigame in which the player can earn in-game items such as a car not found during the main campaign. Most notably, however, installing the add-on automatically renders all brothel girls in the game topless, although nudity can still be toggled on and off.[3] This caused some controversy at the time of the game's release.[4]
