Does the pre-load begin today or day before the beta begins?

Origin states that it will begin at 18.00 today.

Well the VPN trick didn't work. I could enter my card details fine. That processed. Then on the next page to confirm it pushed me to the UK origin with 0 items in my basket. I'm presuming in getting it to work I'm going to have to keep the VPN on throughout the transaction?

as per instructions on payment page you have to take off vpn, then select english which should show web page change to english,then start entering your card details etc

they may have caught on and changed it. in other words they found out.

I'm pretty sure keeping the proxy on throughout the transaction would resolve this though. Have others done this?

It didn't happen first time with me, but once I tried it again, it worked.. No Idea what happened the first time around. How many times did you try?

Can't complain for £27 for the digital deluxe version

Besides knowing dice/ea and their launches, there are bound to be problems for the first day or so, at least with the servers...

Just pre-ordered Standard Edition + Premium from SimplyCDKeys for £54. That's pretty reasonable if you ask me; it's nearly half that of what Origin are charging.

Plus, it seems slightly more legit than messing around with VPN's. I'd be wary, guys. I'm sure they know people are doing it. Not trying to scare people off, though. Sorry. I know it's a significant saving!

Closed beta starts on the 1st and open beta starts on the 4th so it isn't "too bad"

Plus as said above, you can be guaranteed that the first day will be nothing but problems with the servers

If it saves me ~£50, which it does, then I'm not bothered about the Beta!
I wasn't really to fussed in the first place. It was only seeing this price that tipped me over the edge to buy it at all!

If you want the Beta access, I'm sure I've seen key sites offering the Deluxe Edition. CJS possibly?
