First custom PC, need some questions answered.

Sorry. Didn't see your last post.

I'd say you've got a pretty sweet build there alas you appear to have forgotten to add any memory :)

Also as kefan stated, at 27" and PC viewing distances, 1080p can get a little ropey, you're better off with 2560 x 1440 at 27", but the cheapest one is £350 and is not a brand I'd personally choose. So I'd suggest saving yourself a bit of money as you've spent extra on the other bits and getting a good 1080p 24" like below.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Iiyama Prolite E2481HS-B1 24" Widescreen LED Super Slim Bezel Monitor - Black £139.99
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £55.99
Total : £207.98 (includes shipping : £10.00).

That new spec by TheReaperGuy is a very nice spec. I love that case it looks really slick.

There's only one Potential problem and thats that you'll use of all of your PCIe slots with just the two graphics cards and the sound card because the graphics are 3 slot cards. You should be able to fit the sound card in between them but you'll have no slots left.

Opinion is fairly divided on 27" at 1080p

A lot of people say its fine and many don't like it. A lot of it comes down to how far you are from the monitor (how deep is your desk?) and how sensitive you are to resolution. I don't particularly like 1080p on a 27" monitor, but then I saw a big difference between 480p/576i and 1080p, many people can't though. Personally I can't wait for 4K screens to come down in price a lot.

Regarding Windows 8 I'd say very little difference to most people.

You get BitLocker, Remote Desktop Connection (you can do this for free very nicely with Teamviewer) and Domain Join in the Pro version.

Hello would you like to pick a colour please OP :D

I think the orange spec in the H630 would be saucy, I forgot all the nice coloured cables though.

@OP any reason for a GTX 780 when you can get sli/x-fire cheaper and more powerful, and that OC board I specced is a steal at a £10 off, I'd definitely be grabbing that.

@Ocean, thats true, but I dont think the OP will be going beyond 2 cards and a sound card, could always get the MSI's as they are a little better and 2 slot.

@OP again, with your budget you can have a beauty of a rig if you spend it right!

I agree I do like that Case a lot and orange just seems to work well inside a PC. I love the board you choose.

And yeah I doubt many people will use more than 2 GPU's and a sound card tbh, just wanted to make sure the OP was aware that he wouldn't be able to and another PCIe card at a later date like a couple of TV tuners or a wifi card (there's always USB of course) or raid card for example.

Oppppppsss........ I got carried away again :D

Ok lots of information I've been given now, I'll try answer everyone:

@Ethermaster, colour of the rig I want? I like black and blue, I feel they go nicely.

@oceaness, Maybe I should go to a store and see what 1080p looks like on a 27" monitor to me, also I will downgrade to standard windows now, saves some money thanks.

@ThaReaperGuy, What graphics card/cards would you recommend? also I'm not likely the orange on the board unfortunately.

edit: this is to the later posts not the current ones.

edit two:

The h100i is no more difficult to fit than an air cooler, and requires no maintenance. Here's a handy video:
