I'm still undecided about the whole handicap thing.
I'm the kind of person that enjoys playing with higher rated teams, 90% of all the teams I make are 5*. No, I don't win every game, and yes I do lose to people with worse teams than me, but I just accept that they are better players than me (something a lot of people can't seem to do!)
I think the psychological effect plays a HUGE part in peoples opinion of handicap. So many people just expect to win their games if they have the best players, but it just doesn't work that way. It's happened to me before, I've thought that my players are better than my opponents, I'll be able to walk the ball into the net - but it's just not that black and white. On the flip side, I've come up against a team much better than mine and it makes me want to win it more. Your attitude changes depending on if you think it will be a hard or easy game.
If people see they're coming up against a team with tons of high rated players, a lot of them will go to ultra defensive counter attack, which instantly makes it harder to break them down.
It's so easy to remember that time when your high rated player missed a sitter and the opposition low rated striker scored a screamer, but it happens - it can, does, and will happen.
If handicap was such a big deal, then my record would be terrible, as I would say I've had a better team than my opponent in 95% of my games. I'm not a great FIFA 14 player, but still have about 1.5 win/loss ratio, and that's with me struggling in early release and winning most games since retail release.
It's the same with scripting, I think that's a load of b****cks too.
