Okay, decision made and pushing the button on Thursday on my 330D xdrive Tourer and I currently have the following.

Estoril Blue
Wheels 19" 403M
Black Leather (I would go cream but would only get it dirty :()
Aluminium Hexagon Trim
Estoril Blue Trim Finisher
Interior Comfort Package
M Sport Plus Package
Professional Media
Visability Package
Model Designation Deletion (not sure Y or N?)
Heated Front Seats
Adaptive M Sport Suspension

So anything missing or anything you would change/remove?

I would remove xDrive, Aluminium Heaxgon trim, Estoril Blue finisher and Model Designation Delete if it was my order.

xdrive i have made my mind up on and not changing. xdrive with winter tyres should do me nicely where I live plus the xdrive is 0.3 secs quicker ;)

So what would you replace the trim and finisher with then please?

And reason for leaving the model designation?

To hide the fact you've bought a diesel? :p

Joking aside, I normally like the estoril blue, but on BMW's website it looked kinda poor on the 3 series touring, I much preferred the other blue, but it's £850 or so more.

Fox is saying leave the model designation on so the world can see its a 330d. I quite fancy having a sleeper looking car though.......

Yeah it looks naff on the website but in reall life looks much, much better. I find that you should never pick your colour from a website anyway.

Tanzanite Blue is one of my favourite BMW colours but like you say, £850? I could have a HUD display instead.......

Spec looks good but please leave the blue trim finisher, gloss black is far nicer if you are going for black leather.

Fair enough. I was just leaving it in there for a bit of colour but you're right, the gloss black looks better.

Aluminium trim? yeah or nah?

I would add comfort access and the heads up display. The HUD is superb and a must have option for my next car.

Is that the wiggle you leg like a crazed man and your boot opens? Can leave without that for £500. HUD I can't make my mind up on.............

I went with Beige leather and Burr Walnut on mine, I couldn't find another combo that looked as good IMHO.

I don't know what the difference between hexagon and brushed aluminium is in real life, it would have to be one or the other with black leather.

Not so much for the boot, more that it annoys me that you need to take the key out to open the car and then put it either in a cubby hole in the car or back in your pocket before you start the car.

If you still used the key to start the car it is an option I would be willing to go without but when they start to have keyless start but no comfort access it annoys me.

Not gone for keyless entry/start. Despite having had 3 sub 20k cars which all came with that as standard I refuse to pay BMW the £400 or so they want for this options on a £45k car. It should be standard IMO.

The only F30 I have driven had comfort access but my understanding is all F30/F31 have keyless start as standard. Have you test driven a 330d without the comfort access ?

Personal opinion is that the aluminium hex trim looks a bit cheap. I chose beige leather with dark wood trim and the car in deep sea blue. The BMW HUD really is VERY good...add that and have 18" wheels instead. I would think you'll find the ride very harsh on 19s.

All F30s I've driven have had keyless go, but comfort access is an optional extra...

I thought the adaptive suspension option would negate the 19" wheels?

Forgot to check the car I test drove as to what size wheels it had :(

The ride on 19's really isn't that bad, I have driven a 330d xDrive on 19's with adaptive and it has a very good ride in comfort mode and could be considered too soft with the extra body roll.
