Call Of Duty Ghosts *PC* hardend Edition £94:99 who purchased ? ? ?

The only game I ever, EVER bought a 'collectors' edition was Fable 3 for the 360, it cost me £60 from Game. I was sooo giddy, I had ignored reviews and the likes, I knew that my love for the first 2 would be there in the 3rd.

All I got, was Fable 3 playing cards, a coin and some poster or something. Utter, UTTER rip off.

Oh boy how I was wrong, what utter tripe. From then on, I make 100% sure I want the game before wasting money.

Mind you, I will happily go to London and blow £150 on a night out just because I fancy 'letting my hair down'...
 
thing is if he buys the game on its own, and then was to buy all this seperate DLC stuff on its own when released he would probably end up paying a similar price over the duration of the games lifespan.

Only difference is hes paying the price upfront now.

Buying the latest Call of Duty is fair enough if you enjoy it (though personally it bored me after World of War), but...

Paying THAT much for it when it's on sale for £40 for the standard edition? Seriously?

Well actually if you read the page (here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/255163/) it includes four DLC map packs (which are £12 each usually anyway, adding up to £48) and other in-game items. I suppose it may be worth it if you are that into COD and would buy all the DLC anyway.

However I still reckon the COD DLC is a total waste of money, but that is my opinion, however that renders this option pointless to me.

This is why they keep churning out this CoD trash (I'd put money on Ghosts being from the same trash bin as the previous games).

The devs just laugh all the way to the bank.

I had the collectors edition pre-ordered for the xbox which was about £190.

Came to my senses in the end and cancelled the order. I collect this sort of stuff but realised for COD it was a waste :D
 
I love COD and preordered the hardened edition on ps3 for the only reason that it comes with all dlc for £69, just wondering where they are getting the extra £25 from?
 
If you send me that money instead. I can also claim to intimately know your mother. Make promises that i won't keep and leave you feeling ripped off.

I will however make sure the fish move away.
 
I guess there is a market for these 'super special 1337 bonus packs'. You'd have to be an absolute mug to pay that much for a digital version and some extra skins/badges or whatever to 'stand out' in multiplayer- and a few maps.

This doesn't just apply to the COD franchise, any game that charges that much for some semi worthless content with prices like that is simply for mugs. It's crazy how people still buy it though :O
 
whilst i think it's absolutely mental and would never do it myself, it's not unusual for people to **** that kind of money against the wall on a night out. at least this will last a bit longer and there will be no hangover to deal with. :p
 
at least it would be more (read still not enough) reasonable to not pay this for a digital product. At least if you got some physical tat to show it off.

Like does anyone remember how much that splinter cell collectors kit cost a while back that had the night vision goggles?
