My gt430 died yesterday after recieving no signal once windows booted :(

So was looking round and couldn't decide on either a 7770,7790 or 7850, 7850 was slightly out of my budget but then i found a 7790 new for £75 looked and looked at the benches etc but i'm swaying towards the 7790 just because of the price.

Is the 7850 worth the extra £45-50?

I want to say yes but it all depends on what games you play or intend on playing soon and what level of graphic quality you are happy with, like today I went to buy a 7950 and for £40 more I got a 7970 so its upto you really.

i play a lot of facebook games, haha j/k :p

nothing really intensive just cause 2 and a few others at a decent res and some nice fps is all i'm looking for really

any suggestions on a build?

think i'll be needing a new case too as this antec 300 is just getting too small, around £300-325 with this £75 card so £225-250 for a new case mobo ram and cpu,

What PSU do you have??

An FX6300 will cost around £80 to £90 and an FX6350 for around £100. A Gigabyte 970A-DS3P is around £50 to £55 and you can get 8GB of DDR3 for around £50. The Bitfenix Merc Alpha is around £30 to £35 and can take long graphics cards. The Gigabyte is not much of an overclocking motherboard but seems a solid choice for the price.

i like that case just unsure whether it'll fit everything in as it is slightly smaller than the 300 i think

current setup is 4 hd's 2 writers with a Antec True Power New Continous 750W

The Merc Alpha can fit an HD6990 IIRC.

Edit!!

It seems 12.6" without an HDD installed or 10.6" with an HDD installed.

Second Edit!!

If you want a cheaper case, look around for the Casecom K5-9388. It is under £25 and has a removable hard drive cage for longer graphics cards.
