I don't want to listen to any so i don't press anything...Top 40 comes on playing a song i HATE  ...
10 Mins later it gets answered.

Lady was lovely on the phone though :p ,probably one of the nicest and most helpful ive ever had from VM.

I priced it up while she was running checks on my fault,Im wondering if i should upgrade my V+HD box upstairs to a TIVO and get the Superhub2.

She said it would be £49 for both..and an extra £5pm..already paying like £80 a month though for my current package :( ,id like the Tivo upstairs though.

I pay £78 a month for two TiVo boxes with tv XL+ (no movies or sports), 120mb bb and unlimited phone.

They wanted to charge me £49 for the second TiVo box but after a brief chat with the cancellations people it was arranged for free.

My package is..

60Mb BB,M Phone,XL TV,...1x Tivo (500gb) and a V+HD box which is exactly £73.05..then whatever my phone bill is on top.

I just dont know about having to pay £49 install fee, seems a bit high when all they have to do is come over, swap it and make frequency changes..and they cant say its because its a call out...they're coming out anyway to fix the power levels on my broadband.

I don't dislike the V+HD,But ive noticed the picture quality isn't as clear as the TIVO,also of course you cant record anything on the V+HD box...eventually though i might do away with subscription TV and get Freesat HD with recording abilities.

I would ring them back and get onto cancellations. I did this a few months back and that's how I got my deal. Both my TiVo boxes are also 1TB.

I'm only paying £7 a month more than you for twice the package ?

Meh,Like i said im already paying £73 + the phone bill each month,Then if i did have the tivo that would be an extra £49 + £5pm...ITS a lot.

I really cannot be bothered phoning again and "Threatening" to leave just for them to give me a better deal,You shouldn't have to...and even if i did they would slowly creep back up the price like they have done in the past its all a load of crap.

Im undecided what to do atm.

Either cancel the TV + Phone and keep the broadband.
OR
Leave VM all together and go BT for internet only ...then upgrade to Infinity 2,i think their 76mb infinity2 is something like £40ish pm Including line rental.

Apparently BT are aiming to get this is in my area by the end of 2013.

Mate that's a rip off, their current VIP deal is £50 per month for 6 months then £100, try and get them to give you a similar/same deal. Are you on 120mbit or less ?

BT have a decent offer on, plus you get £84 cashback via topcashback. Sky do great new customer deals.

I know,Thats the problem though as ive experienced before you phone them ask for a better deal,They either come out with "they cant offer us any better offer" or when they do and you take the offer up after a few months the price suddenly goes up.

im on 60mb BB connection.

This is why i was looking at Sky infinity, they say they don't slow down your connection during peak hours,And their upload is MUCH better than the crappy 2mb i get currently.

Yeah tbh I'd just go with sky, you'll end up getting a much better deal.

I believe they're doing 6months free fibre unlimited, its the 38mbit one though, you could try and get them to give you a deal for fibre pro (78mbit)

Damn, at first I thought they'd switched STM back on in my area, I was down to 4Mb upload but then noticed it's gone back to 12Mb when it should be 4Mb till 11pm this evening. Hmm...
Edit: I spoke too soon, now it's gone back to 4Mb, double Hmm...

WOW.. Just got a great deal after just the second call. 120mb Broadband Only for £26 a month. Was also supposed to be £49 installation but got that for £5.99 and because I still have TV and Phone I have to give 30 days notice but to save a little time she is having it installed/upgraded next Tuesday and crediting me the additional money back to my account to save me being out of pocket. I have to say a pleasure dealing with the lovely lady in Customer Relations. :)

Oh and that's with a Superhub 2 as well as my original one is utterly pants!

I just upgraded from 60meg to 120meg, added a HD box to the bedroom and changed to a super hub 2 (although in modem mode) saved £10pcm. I phoned to see what they could offer as Open reach fibre is due in my area in Oct.

After the recent network upgrade in my area VM is now running at full speed 24/7. The nice lady suggested I upgrade to 120meg as it would help with traffic management at peak times. I don't download (much) but have 4 kids who love YouTube and Netflix. "270GB to 300GB over that last 3 months per month" she told me.

To top it of the guy who came to fit the box upstairs noticed the phone cable that runs under the front door to the box by the hall window (external) was worn by foot traffic, at the door, and replaced it from the brown box on the wall to the hall window into the house. Full width of the house and half way down the side wall. Fixed it all to the wall so it wont happen again.

For the first time I was impressed. I'm sure the coffee and half pack of digestives on arrival helped.

I got the same deal also - £28.50 x 12 months with a £30 discount works out at £26 a month for just 120mb service. All good :D

Nice one.. I don't watch terrestrial TV or use the Tivo box nor have I ever had a phone plugged into the like so saved £16 a month and got 120mb so all good.
