Anyone managed to track anything with these guys? Not having any luck myself :(. Why can't companies use decent couriers..

Never personally had any problems tracking or using Parcel Force deliveries and that includes foreign shipments coming through a 3rd party.

What problem are you having?

Cry me a river, someone just sent me a load of stuff by Yodel.

I'd have more chance of receiving it if they strapped it to Stevie Wonders' back and fired him out of a canon.
And amazons couriers are just as bad, useless bunch of *********.

Last time a company sent by Yodel, I said, either you send via a decent courier or you lose my business, this was after 2 years of them using DPD a random change, they went back to DPD.

had a delivery by PF few days ago. item tracked ok.

what's your tracking number format? do you get any error message? when was it posted?

Ive sent 2 thiings by parcelforce this week and they have been tracked fine. You are using tracking facility on the parcelforce site and not the normal royal mail site aren't you?

My tnt delivery is already 'delayed' twice and 'recovery action is being taken.
The website said it was DHL or FedEx
Had I have known I wouldn't have ordered!

Just recently parcelforce have lived up to their nickname of parcelfarce for me even though over the last 15 years they have always been great, the other day I waited in all day for a triple screen arm which according to their tracking and the sms notification was loaded onto the drivers van at 5am only for it to never turn up then at the end of the day tracking shoed item returned to depot! phoned them up and got it the next day although right at the end of the day, then 2 days later same thing again! And then finally to top it all off I had a delivery from Yodel my usual worst parcel company and it came just as expected.

In my own experience the tracking for royalmail and parcelforce items can be naff, maybe we are all to used to the amazing service from DPD, every delivery company in the UK could learn a lot from those guys.

Well first time of trying I get told that "Your request has expired, please try again", so I try again and get told

We are currently unable to confirm that status of your parcel. Please check the number and try again. Please note that items sent over 4 months ago cannot be tracked online. If you are tracking a parcel sent from outside of the UK, we may not have received it yet. Please try again or use the help button below.
Obviously none of these apply since it was sent from within the UK on Wednesday.

Never had a problem with parcel force but yodel on the other hand i wont even go there its will start off a really big rant by me and no one wants that.

are you sure its been posted? as PF tracking references are "recycled" it might think that you are trying to use the last parcel that used the ref.

I've been having Borat style great success selling against Yodel recently, it seems even being prepared to deliver stuff for pennies isn't enough to keep their customers.

One conversation I had yesterday went thus:

"Yodel are not very good, twice last week they didn't turn up"
"We'll I can assure you we will turn up every day, and if we are delayed or there is a problem you will be informed of when a vehicle will be arriving to collect your freight"
"Problem is I don't really want to pay the prices you are quoting, it's nearly twice as much for a delivery"
"I tell you what, I'll cut you a deal, I'll charge you what yodel are charging and we won't turn up either"

Well, only in so far as I've been told by the place I bought it from that my order has been shipped.

How are people tracking Parcelforce parcels? I just pasted my consignment into their website and it doesn't even say the planned delivery date, there are some arbitrary cross-depot checkpoint updates, but that's not what I want to know.

Also last time I used their online redelivery booking service they had no record of any redelivery requests, so that's broken as well.

I don't understand why these sub-standard couriers are still in operation. Stop using them, switch to DPD, then they can die and DPD prices will get cheaper.

Best domestic tracking: DPD
Best international tracking: FedEx and UPS.

These should be the only couriers available in the UK. Along with Royal Mail.

Parcel force have made my list. Bought a couple of small (packet size) items from Japan, with express delivery. Takes 24 hours to get to the UK and the 7 days in a sorting office before even reaching customs. Cue a £13.50 'handling' charge before they even attempt delivery.

Will just use FedEx the entire way next time :(
