Putting the feelers out about insuring both my 330i and Impreza, currently the 330i is SORN and off the road. Thought being is that I've had next to no interest in the 330i and I rather like it so may just keep it!

Just done a quick multicar quote at Admiral to start next Jan which came through at £2000 which is high but doesn't seem too bad?

Are there any other companies I could try that would be good for this, I'm 24 with 6 years NCB, 7 in January. No accidents / points.

£2k is a lot of money.

You then have to think about tax/servicing/maintaining etc etc. Being a BMW that isn't cheap, especially along side a WRX Scooby.

Lower your selling price on the BMW and get rid.

Appreciate that, that's why I'm just wondering if it is possible to insure cheaper with my circumstances before I do try and get more attention on it with a lower asking price.

Also both cars will be mainly serviced by me apart from major services so not an issue..

You don't get the parts for free though ;)

You are obviously in no rush to sell so just knock the price down by £100 every few weeks. Aslong as the car as been maintained properly and the price is right, it will sell.

The 330i is literally worth naff all, it's on 126k with FSH.. I'm actually thinking I'd rather have the car than cash to be fair, two single policies might be better as I'm sure they add a premium just because 'multi car' lol :)

Surely 2k in your pocket and 500 quid for insurance is a far better deal than 2k to insurance.....

Multi car is significantly cheaper for us BTW, its about 600 for the 330ci and 107 though I have 7 years no claims and the boss has 3 which will have a big impact

Get rid of the 330i. You may get better money for it now, then let's say when you come to eventually get rid of it. Keep it SORN, stick on the bay and set a decent reserve and watch the interest.

EDIT: Hang on Tom. I've found your add and it's surprising that you haven't shifted it. Have you had any best offers?

Nothing mate, I'm really surprised. When I listed my Z3 on a classified I shifted it in a matter of days..

Firstly, take the log-book info out. I as a buyer would question why you've resent for it again. Only question arises is, did you have a private plate on it? If so state so. Having no tax will also put buyers off. They'd have to insure/tax etc..So those costs come into play into the initial purchase price.

I'm thinking if you were to put it on bids and did a reserve of let's say a £1k, you wouldn't get much more for it, leaving you possibly down a few £££.

There's a 330i touring se, for £1500 with best offer, looks to be in ok condition and has 136k on the clock.

Problem is, these cars are fuel thirsty and maintenance is expensive being a BMW. Yours looks to be a nice example but I don't think someone is willing to part £1800ono for it.

Keeping it along side a Subaru will cost you. I don't think it's worth it.

Out of interest how much did the car cost you initially, and any costs that you have paid for, eg; wear/tear.
