Wouldn't exactly call 90K mega rich though, even double digit millions isn't really mega rich these days :S

We're talking about mega rich, £150,000 a year doesn't get you into mega rich territory at all.

Plenty of people earn that in the UK.
 
My landlady owns 6 properties and an extremely successful business. She drives a 15 year old Focus estate and a 13 year old astra, both so full of old crap that you can only use one of the seats. She hoards everything to the extent where she wouldn't let us throw away a broken microwave from the 1980s and insists on maintaining all her properties herself as plumbers, electricians etc are "too expensive".

She also dresses like a tramp and looks as if she's spent the night sleeping in a ditch. I'd estimate her monthly income from her properties alone is well in excess of £8000 but you'd never know it. I'm all for people not flashing their wealth, but some take it too far I think!
 
There are a few famous people here but they lurk rather than post and when they do it's just advice. I am sure there are some and others may know them but I am afraid I don't know of any regulars who would fit your description. It's a strange criteria you set for success there btw the wealthy I know, bar the odd few (mainly Kuwaiti), do not own sports cars or live like that at all - in fact if anything they are just normal family men and live quite a sheltered and non extravagant lifestyle.
 
I have a friend who post here. His name will remain secret due to people begging and bothering. Though he's hardly very active on here anyway. He started his own labour supply company, from there on he started a payroll company. Van hire company and owns about 10 sandwich shops around London. Across all his businesses he employs about 300 people. He's a multi millionaire.

I've scored a new career lately that is leaving more than enough in the bank for the wife not to have to work, although she wants to, and it will be a long time before we can decide that we have enough to change our current standard of living.

For me, money isn't important, but getting rid of a mortgage while I can, is. I don't expect it, but my parents, asset wise, total more than £1m, which will / could help in the future nicely.

However, the 45ft Sonseeker friends of ours have just purchased puts me fairly well back into the "can't give up work yet" category....
