I'm playing career mode.

Could somebody explain what the little arrows next to each player means in career mode? I assume an 'upwards/slanted' arrow means they are improving since all my players expect one have this arrow and they have gained about 2-3 points overall.

However my main striker who started out at 66 overall is STILL rated 66 overall but he has a straight 'upwards' arrow? Anyone know what this means?
 
Hahaha! Played against an 84 rated team with my 77, he went 2-0 up, I pulled one back...I then went all in, throwing everyone forward, he countered, and very nicely, Ashley Williams went for a nice overhead clearance and it went so hilariously Pete Tong and flew into the back of my net...3-1...I just sat there laughing so hard, I was nearly in tears, we both stopped playing and the geezer sent me a message saying 'Damn son, funniest thing I have ever seen in Fifa, nice one lad!'...He went on to win 5-1...
 
I just sold gomez to fund IF rakitic whilst he's still cheap.

Got sau in for 1,500 to play with IF milito for now.

Will re buy gomez when I can, he is very similar to diego costa.

Up against a weak cb they just bully them like Ba did Norwich today

Division 2 is quite hard, need 2 wins from 3 to get into division 1, on first attempt

Rodriguez and Lavezzi are very good especially as everyone expects you to cross with Cavani and two wide players. Cut in for some nice shots. Cavani I have been unimpressed by. Might start saving for Zlatan.

I'm sure that someone said it's a premium pack plus 5k for the title

Division 2 is around 9k iirc for the title

Rewards are much higher / better this year.

Cavani has high defence work rate, every time I have played against him, he's always in midfield leaving nobody up front
 
Then why is he not impressing you if he ain't in midfield constantly like every time I have played against him and by midfield one time he was back tackling with the cb's, that's how far he had come back
 
You all NEED Karim Benzema! He is a god on the pitch, always in the place you need when your attacking, and he can track back and tackle...best player I bought :D
 
Played against him for the first time today and he looked terrible, think he got one shot off with him and it was off target, division 2 so not a noob player, but I'm sure my handicap team was partly to blame

So you spend roughly £200+ a year on fifa? Cost of game, live and packs.

That's a lot less than some tbh but about £170 more than what I do. My brother knows someone who spends that in a week sometimes, his dad is a multi millionare and uses his card.

Doesn't matter either where the money has come from either, I just got paid about £200 in cashback from quidco, it's my money at the end of the day, so I ain't gonna waste it on packs even though I got it for 'free'.

Not having a go, I was interested to see what kind of cash people spend in order to pull a Messi or Ronaldo. I thought it would be much higher than that.
 
Made this today, enjoying it so far and plays well, Guarin & Balotelli are excellent, only one I'm not sure on is Di Natale out wide, but we'll see, may also change out the LB/LCB/GK combo or see what I can think up!

Criscito or Santon with barzagli and nocerino or marchisio in front with handonavic in goal surely.

I have been using guarin in cam for a while now and he can do everything, outrun players, long shots, cross, header, tackle.
