Just had a courier dropping off our bags which got delayed at the Airport , now they were 4 of us and all of us could smell alcohol on his breath.

Now I'm from the school of don't "grass" people up let the coppers do there job etc etc.

Now would you tell the police or leave it and think not my business , keeping in mind he knows our address and phone number :o

What would you do in this situation ?

I would contact the courier with the details of the driver (reg, etc.) - if he gets pulled up by the courier company, lets face it - he will have done hundreds of drops that day so won't know its you.

I really would tell someone if possible however rather than staying silent, the chances of him being caught is probably quite low unless he actually causes some kind of damage.

For the first time in my life I "grassed" to the police , saw the them pick him up about 1hr ago

Remember, by doing what you did you may have saved someone's life. It sounds over dramatic but the reality is that innocent people die when hit by drunk drivers on a daily basis in this country.

Good for you :) did you follow him or something? :p

Nope rang 999 told them his reg and also told them he was still sat there with the engine running. I assumed they sent a car round to breath test him:confused:

If he had left do police send his reg out for the area I I guess?

Yeh they do but most of the time the car is gone from the area.

Did you see him get arrested and taken away?

I had a work mate killed by a drunk driver. The driver was so drunk, he mounted the curb and ran over my work mate and killed him leaving his wife and two children fatherless. As you say it may sound dramatic but the reality is that had someone reported that driver before he got into the car, a wife and two children might just have had their husband and father today.

Nope so the Police wagon pull down our street but my view was obstructed so not sure if he was there or not.

For obvious reasons I didn't want to pop my head round so to speak :o
