Don't take this the wrong way, but you were/are a senior account manager. So, you look at numbers and stuff right? Last account manager I dealt with when working for the NHS had the technical knowledge of a frozen garden pea dipped in honey.

You bought a (bottom-of-the) middle range graphics card and expected to a widely-reported poor-performing beta version of a game to run perfectly well?

You use a link with out-dated statistics to prove... what exactly? I'm also very interested to hear about this high-end, PC-gamer-orientated octocore CPU you talk about, it sounds fantastic! I'm also very interested to hear about the similarities between enterprise-level server clusters and standalone home computers when it comes to hardware necessities and specifications!

I think you seem to forget that the hardware produced by big vendors such as Intel aren't specifically designed with "gamers in mind". The hardware they produce is the result of million, sorry, billion pound research and development cycles and projects that transform the way electronic components are manufactured and in-turn improve the electronic world in ways I would doubt you would be able to comprehend.

As for the GTA5 link, shock horror as most anticipated game from one of the biggest gaming franchises to come about breaks a sales record!

At the end of the day, you seem happy to return the goods and spend your money on a console - which for the record, isn't out yet - good for you! No, seriously, good for you, one less person to whinge and whine about something not quite up to their standards. As others have said, enjoy the 720p gaming that the "next generation consoles". But if you're happy with that, great, I can't hold that against you and nobody else has a right to either!

No offence intended, but I fail to see the point of the OP? Is it a farewell post? Okay, bye! ;)

As an end note, correct grammar makes for easier reading to better put across your viewpoints and arguments. Just sayin'.

if only your procrastination on the differences between enterprise servers and home pc`s had some foundation and you hadn't just googled the term as i have already stated i dont need to post a copy of my cv or brag about deals i have done to this customer or that lets face it you are no Allan Sugar if you dont see the IT link please go and ask your mum again another customer !!

Nothing wrong with buying a PS4 or Xbone and good for you if you prefer that but could you imagine a PC gamer going into a console thread and saying that PC gaming is far superior and all console gamers are wrong for enjoying their method of gaming?

If I did that, I would expect to get a right turning over and then a suspension for trolling.

I have a feeling that you may be wrong, specifically about the majority of members on this forum. Go take a look at the members rigs thread, or maybe the folding thread. There are people with multiple PCs, all with far more power than either next-gen console.

People whose PCs are 'weaker' were probably purchased during the lifecycle of the current-gen consoles, if not before. They may are most likely more than powerful enough for the games they play so there is no need to upgrade. As you said yourself, why throw money at something you don't need?

That is such a rude post and horrible post that looks like it was written by a bitter teenager, and talking about someone's mom? Really? Some very teenager on a power trip to me.

You're not impressing anyone so please buy your console and head over to the Gamespot System Wars forums with the other 13 year old children, you might feel more at home over there.

get a grip dont like it dont look , ocuk forums are hardly the epitome of pc forums i should have expected such a backlash from overclockers as the saying goes don't overclock buy better !!

Personal insults now, a very nice addition to the thread!

I unfortunately wish I had the luxury of not knowing the difference between the two; but after spending more hours of my free-time than I'd like to admit dealing with the former of the two, I think I can determine the similarities, or lack thereof, between the two. Besides the point, no one asked to see your CV so that seems like a mighty irrelevant thing to post, must be a defensive reaction!

You're clearly getting quite flustered by this, perhaps take a few moments to make a brew and relax a little bit. The tone of the responses you are receiving are likely due to your ill-thought rebukes.

Although I must give credit where credit is due - you do actually find some (questionable) supportive evidence for some of your points, that's certainly more than most of the dull drab posted.

PS, it's Sir Alan Sugar.

PPS, my point on grammar still stands.

I'm confused, is the OP complaining that a recent PC game requires too high end hardware, or complaining that people buy too high end PC hardware that are never utilised by games? Maybe I need to re-read the thread but you seem to be complaining about both.

If you want to run a console, go ahead and I truly hope you're happy. One of my kids loves his Xbox as he never needs to worry about under the hood, compatibility, or graphics settings. My other kid is a PC gamer and can't live without running the game on one screen, Skype on another, email on another and YouTube on the other. I'm a hardware nut and love building, maintaining and optimising my PCs. I genuinely don't understand why you feel the need to sling accusations at PC gamers just because you have decided a console makes more sense for your enjoyment.

it amazes me how ignorant all you trolls are i came here to offer a point of view and get lively discussion this is good but you should all use those pc`s for somthing other than playing wow or looking at porn lol

“We’re still early in PS4 development though getting the game running at 1080p at a consistently smooth 60 frames per second is our target.

Yes I know some games will run at 1080p and 60fps. Battlefield 4 wont though which is what I and you were talking about.
