*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Yeah it is extreme to be booking days off to play games IMO :p

Not really. People often take time off to enjoy their hobbies and no-one would say much, but because gaming involves staying at home, some people seem to look down on the idea. As long as people enjoy their time off I don't care what they use it for :)

I've got the Friday and Monday booked off for the Xbox One release, though there are 3 reasons for that...

1) I have to be at home to collect the delivery, as I can't get it sent to work
2) I have some holidays left that I have to take
3) It's my birthday weekend, so seems as good a time as any to take off

Back on topic of the PS4, those Order screenshots look very nice. Looking forward to seeing more of the game over the coming months.

I think those shots do look better than anything PS3 (so they should), but I can also understand what the guy is saying. I was jus thinking with the first shot how there isn't a huge leap for me in terms of lighting and the general feel of everything graphical from a select couple of titles like TLoU and uncharted.

Though on the whole I would agree the order looks better. Still, it should look better 'in the round' when actually playing it and you can spin the camera round, etc to take it all in.

No idea, i was just wondering if all the people who have now selected a bundle had freed up enough solo ps4's to enable them to guarantee launch day for later pre-orders (not sure if that makes sense).

Pretty sure the bundles aren't actually bundles (with different cover art and whatnot). They'll still be PS4s sent out with the games and accessories you order. So it won't free up any 'solo' PS4s.

I think the official Sony ones are proper bundles, they come with the games in the box etc

This. The e-mail from Amazon showed pictures of the boxart and it does look like they are proper bundles like the PS3 and other consoles have done in the past (it's also been confirmed that they will contain physical copies of the game). At least the Mega Bundles look like they'll have different boxart with everything inside.

Bundles in spoiler:

Only Bundle 1, 2 and 5 look like official bundles to me due to their box art, the others have games added on as extras (pretty sure their faq confirms this). 3 & 4 use bundle 1 and bundle 6 uses bundle 5.

edit: Actually looking closely bundle 6's art is different to bundle 5 (aside from the angle and dimensions xD, camera/controllers/game are in a diff place...)

£389 for the console and Killzone/Watch Dogs is a pretty good deal.

I kind of agree. The only thing bothering me about it is the current RRP of £49.99. So yes the bundle effectively gives you the game for £39.99. My feeling is that the games are eventually going to be £39.99 at retail anyway, just like now.

Didn't that happen when this gen launched? Pretty sure I read that somewhere here. I was more of a PC gamer back then so I wasn't following the PS360 launches as closely so I could be wrong.

Yep. RRP for lots of PS3 and 360 games are already £50, they always get sold for less though

I went for the fifa mega pack as I was originally getting fifa, killzone and an extra controller which was costing 500.

Anyone on here got an ASDA pre-order?

I did one ages ago, just noticed on their site that they have some bundles up, but you can only buy them using the £20 pre-order code you originally paid for. Anyone received such a code yet?
