Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

I lasted about 2 minutes on an Obliteration server. WTF? I get killed enough in Conquest.

I hadn't a clue what the hell was going on. Also, there are still loads of snipers on there. Is there no escape from them?

One thing I noticed its like it takes the game like 30 seconds to catch up after coming out of a lift onto a roof - now I usually sprint away as fast as possible hope I don't die then if I can avoid dying for 20-30 seconds I can hit okish.

If I try to play it tactically coming out pretty much even the most carefully aimed shots won't register - or even when they do people seem to live through stupid amounts of damage - and its a huge waste of time.

Good games again tonight! Can't tell you how much better and more fun this game is when working with a good squad that you know!
 
Yeah i was playing a bit gash tonight though, been trying to unlock all the other weapons on other classes instead of playing properly.

pfffffft to all the other weapons! All you need is the ak5c :D :p

Might try to play a bit more with the SCAR H, need to get some more unlocks though so I think I'll have a few rounds of domination tomorrow :p

So annoying the way you spend a lot of time around one or two flags i.e. tonight with e, as soon as we clear it and half way to d, e starts flashing again :/

Probably had some guy camping on the roof top.....

And on that topic, Christ almighty! The amount of roof campers there were?! :eek: Don could have easily got about another 10 kills if the round didn't end! Loads had just come out of the elevator and we were about to fly over to them......

Oh and nice work whoever it was that was soflaming helis, got a few nice multikills from the transport heli with the RPG :D

I *think* the gameplay is better in BF4 vs Bf3, but I cant really remember as I haven't played much BF3 in the last few months.

However, I do think the graphics are a huge step down. To me it looks gash, almost like a step back a few years. The impact effects of rounds, especially large caliber vehicle rounds looks very cartoon-esque. There is too much flashy-shiny crap and not enough "substance". I'm finding it hard to put my finger on, but it feels to me like a cardboard cut-out world with textures plastered on, and that's a shame because although that is essentially all games are, I haven't had that impression with BF before. It's always been more immersive. This one just feels "plastic".

Also, is it just me or does the building collapse sequence look terrible? Every time I hear it go I turn to look at it, but it just looks rubbish. Once it's down I can't wait for the round to end because the map becomes very dull and lifeless, both graphically and action-wise.

Just my 2-penneth.
 
In bf3 if you cheated well enough, you got a job as an admin. Seen numerous cheaters in game on the forums in admin psitions. Call me cynical, when someone got banned in bf3, (eventually) they just bought a new key, came back and cheated again. Dice/ea like this, another sale, more profit.

Had a few issues where my gun completely disappeared from my hand. It usually happened when I was getting out of water.

Also, how the hell does an enemy shoot you whilst he's swimming in water?

Still enjoying it. It'll be my first launch date buy in many years.
 
Might do Joe, really enjoyed what little of the beta ive played so far. (work commitments). Cant wait for the full game, just need to get this rig running right to run it.

Heh, I was playing BF3 recently on Karkand and the admin kept restarting the match after a few minutes if he didn't like the way it was going for him :rolleyes:

The chat box was hilarious :D
