So what did the patch do? I'm playing seasons and the pace of players seems to be a bit faster. Headers aren't as bad but the horrible chip through balls still seem to be happening a lot, combine that with the pace and it's awful >.<

Since the patch, I have had 5 draws and 2 wins. Its crazy in matches where I am losing, I will somehow get a goal in 80+ with ease. If the opponent went ahead, I would score instantly.

Personally I'd go Rooney at CAM/CF behind them.

Or 433(4) with Rooney at CAM and one of the other 2 up top
