Or you could buy one Titan or R9 290X plus waterblock lol.

And your post is still about how well it clocks, however you want to spin it.

The fact still is that your card wasn't necessarily representative of the majority, just as your ref card being an exceptionally good clocker doesn't mean ref cards are gonna be wonderful for example.

Some games will perform worse with multiple cards, you're bound to encounter problems, you need a premium power supply, or even 2.

Rangerjr1, Matrix and Lightnings are more likely to be better than references overclocking wise hence the premium in addition to the factory OC. More likely is not the same as guaranteed. You got unlucky with the Matrix and lucky with the reference. That's all there is to it plain and simple so you can't represent for every Matrix out there.

I have the 7970 direct cu 2 top and it doesnt clock as well as my old 7950 twin frozr 3 and its voltage locked and it takes up more room in my case than a reference card so i cant xfire until i buy a bigger case but who cares? Not me, its still a beast of a card and i love it.
Thats my opinion, i will give it to people who ask and let them decide, not troll every 7970 thread and try and ram it down peoples throats.
 
im also a bit miffed, ordered a asus dc11 top on tuesday for £227 as the matrix was too dear at £260, then a few days later, the matrix is going for £222.
 
Wow, what happened to this thread overnight? I was only after a bit of advice lol.

P.S I still haven't chose a card yet.
